Background / History

Ji Shu forged Nezha as a specialized combat puppet rather than continuing to create multiple units. After merging several earlier Nezhas into one, he fed it large quantities of gold, silver, ores, and other precious materials, dramatically increasing its strength and growth potential. Ji Shu then stationed it as a guard for himself and Feng Baobao. 613

Nezha’s first major recorded defense came when Miao Lun’s team attempted to abduct Xu San. It swiftly defeated more than a dozen attackers, incapacitated Miao Lun, and helped force information from him. Its performance exposed Ji Shu and Feng Baobao as likely inheritors of the Treasure Refining Technique, drawing attention from organizations seeking to seize Nezha or reproduce it. 616

As it continued consuming minerals, Nezha developed full sentience and began traveling into the mountains by itself to mine materials. Its strength increased faster than Xu San’s despite Xu San’s own cultivation progress. 617

Nezha subsequently defeated repeated attacks on Dàniáng Mountain, including armed mercenaries, Quanxing members, foreign awakened individuals, witches, angels, and demon hunters. It could deflect gunfire and rockets, rapidly close distance with snipers, and eliminate attackers before they could escape. 618 619 620

After Ji Shu’s group left the mountain, Nezha continued accompanying them. It rescued Xia He from a group of assailants in Yucheng, fought Zhang Zhiwei at Dragon Tiger Mountain, and later handled supernatural cases in Jingcheng City for Nadu Company. 621 624 639
