Background
Feng Baobao first encountered Ji Shu while searching for her family. Naive, unfamiliar with social norms, and prone to answering any question put to her, she asked him to help locate them. Her Fortune resonated with the residual will of Earth within Ji Shu, leading him to travel with her. 605
Before meeting Ji Shu, she had wandered for decades and had been abandoned after waiting for Gou Wazi's family as instructed. Her missing memories and incomplete grasp of human relationships caused others to mistake her for cold and emotionless, though she retained emotions and attachment beneath her detached manner. 606 609
Ji Shu brought her to Mount Dàniáng, where they lived in a wooden cabin and later Zhao Family Village. He taught her reading, writing, school subjects, cultivation, artifact refinement, and social understanding; she gradually came to regard him as her true family. 606 607 612
After fifty years apart, Xu Xiang recognized her as A Wu. Their reunion confirmed that Feng Baobao had not aged, a result associated with the Six Treasury Immortal Thief. 613
She later regained her memories and learned that Wugensheng, the former leader of Quanxing, was her father. Despite the shock of the revelation, she maintained her commitment to Ji Shu. 659
Appearance
Feng Baobao is described as an exceptionally beautiful woman with fair skin, a graceful figure, and an ethereal bearing. After living with Ji Shu, she increasingly presented herself as refined and well-kept rather than disheveled. 605 606 651
- Speaks in a Sichuan dialect. 605
- Initially wore rough, untidy clothing; Ji Shu later made her fitted qipao and refined black clothing that resisted dirt. 606 609
- Keeps herself and her shovel meticulously clean. 613
- Her immortal aura later made her appear especially otherworldly. 651
- Commonly carries a shovel or a pig-slaughtering knife that can transform into a belt or soft-toy dagger. 613 638
Personality
Feng Baobao initially appears simple-minded, emotionally distant, and unaware of ordinary social boundaries. Her memory loss and inability to actively use many of her own techniques left her vulnerable to deception. 605 606
She possesses a pure heart, strong loyalty, and a deep need for belonging. Once she accepts someone as family, she follows them unwaveringly; she became strongly attached to Ji Shu, fearing that he might leave her after she finally found genuine care. 606 607 610
Years of education and companionship made her more articulate, thoughtful, and emotionally expressive. She learned to smile, voice her preferences, appreciate beauty, and show empathy—particularly toward abused or displaced children. 609 613 617 648 649
Her gentleness toward innocents contrasts sharply with her ruthlessness toward enemies. She does not hesitate to kill dangerous opponents, capture their souls, or order the burial of those she judges irredeemably evil. 617 638 648 650
