"So, that's why you've come looking for me so often lately. Something must have happened to Pangu." Shichen's face was wreathed in smiles.
Seeing the smile on Shichen's face, Xuanxiao's gaze turned dangerous. "What? Are you entertaining ideas?"
Throughout all of Chaos, Shichen was the only one he still regarded with some wariness.
If Shichen set his sights on the Primordial Wilderness, Xuanxiao would not be afraid, but it would be troublesome.
Meeting Xuanxiao's gaze, Shichen shook his head. "Rest assured. The Primordial Wilderness is Pangu's Dao Fruit. I have no interest in it. My Dao is different from his."
With that, Shichen turned an unfathomably deep gaze toward the River of Time.
"True. Without my elder brother, you would probably have been the first Chaos Demon God of our generation to reach that step." Xuanxiao nodded in acknowledgment.
Before Pangu appeared, Shichen had been universally recognized as the foremost of the Chaos Demon Gods.
Back then, no one in Chaos had been Shichen's match. Even Xuanxiao had held his formidable prowess in awe.
And so, Shichen was proud.
Since he had said he would not seize Pangu's Dao Fruit, he would not. That was his pride.
Looking at the visibly anxious Xuanxiao, Shichen shook his head. "Actually, you needn't worry at all. Even when all of us joined forces back then, we were no match for him. Unless the Great Dao itself acts, nothing can possibly happen to him."
Only after hearing Shichen's words did Xuanxiao feel considerably reassured.
"True. Never mind now-even back in the age of Chaos, no one could have brought my elder brother down. Perhaps I can't reach him because he has plans of his own."
He turned toward Shichen. "Your disciple has broken through to primordial unity. How do you feel?"
At Xuanxiao's words,
