Origin and Creation

Pangu regarded world creation as the inevitable expression of his Dao. He declared that, after his transformation, he and the Primordial World would be one and the same rather than truly separated by death 8.

During the Heaven-Opening process, Pangu used the Pangu Axe to shape Chaos into a world. When the newborn realm began to fracture under Chaos pressure, he divided the axe into the Taiji Diagram, Pangu Banner, and Chaos Bell, sending all three into the world as stabilizing treasures 12.

Pangu named the completed realm the Primordial World. His transformation formed much of its natural order:

• His breath became winds and clouds.
• His voice became thunder.
• His eyes became the Solar Star and Great Yin Star.
• His body hair became the stars.
• His limbs and torso became mountains.
• His blood became rivers and seas.
• His sinews became spiritual veins.
• His spine became Buzhou Mountain, the pillar supporting heaven and earth. 12

The Great Dao Merit generated by creation produced several major inheritances, including the Heaven and Earth Mysterious Yellow Exquisite Pagoda, the Primordial Measure Ruler, Pangu Hall, and spiritual rain that nourished the newborn world. The completion of this process marked the transition from the Chaos Era to the Primordial Era 12.

World Order

Three Paths

The Primordial World operates through three parallel paths of governance:

The Earthly Dao's revival revealed the Netherworld Underworld and the Six Paths of Samsara to all living beings. Its manifestation also connected Minghe and the Asura Clan to the Asura Path 78 82.

The Human Path is one of the Primordial World's wills. Its revival is closely tied to the emergence of the Human Race and the Creation Great Dao cultivated by Nuwa 101 287.

World Will

The Primordial World's will can influence the development of its inhabitants and institutions.

• Minghe was suited to create the Asura Clan because the world's operation required the Asura Path to take shape; his resulting merit came from fulfilling that role rather than merely creating a race 78.
• Foreign beings may be rejected by the world. Yin-Yang Daoist could only freely enter and leave after Xuanxiao obtained a Heavenly Dao permit, causing the world's rejection to disappear 373 374.
• The world accepts the arrival of beings from the Great Thousand Worlds as potential tribulations, karmic ties, nourishment, or support for its Destiny, while Heavenly Dao boundary rules regulate their entry 426.

Geography and Natural Phenomena

• Buzhou Mountain — Formed from Pangu's spine and originally too oppressive for even Hongjun to reach its summit 12 15.
• Thunder Marsh — A southeastern forbidden zone spanning billions of miles, filled with violent lightning capable of destroying intruders and Primordial Fierce Beasts 13.
• Sea of Blood — The destination for harmful and impure substances from across the world. Its corrupting energy can erode body and Primordial Spirit, though the Ancestral Witches can absorb it safely 71.
• The West — Resource-poor after the Dragon-Phoenix Tribulation drained much of its spiritual-vein power. Its void nevertheless produces Great Dao Divine Thunders, making it both perilous and valuable for cultivation 62.
• Spirit Qi distribution — Prior to the Three-Realm division, Innate Spiritual Qi increasingly converged toward the world's central regions, leaving remote lands comparatively barren 400.

Defenses and Safeguards

Five Spirits Guardian Great Array

The Five Spirits Guardian Great Array was established by Ancestral Dragon, Shi Qilin, Yuan Feng, Gui Mi, and Luohu's Primordial Spirit under Xuanxiao's direction 61.

• Draws Chaos Spiritual Qi from outside the world and refines it into Innate Spiritual Qi.
• Reinforces the world's foundation and stabilizes its laws.
• Makes entry by Chaos beings more difficult.
• Grants merit to its guardians and participating clans. 61

Tribulation System

Xuanxiao established the Thunder Tribulation and Longevity Tribulation as rules of the Primordial World. Thunder Tribulations descend when beings attempt realm breakthroughs, making tribulation punishment part of the world's cultivation order 64.

Vulnerability During Dao Merging

When Hongjun merged with the Heavenly Dao, both entered a period of slumber. The Earthly Dao temporarily governed the Primordial World, but Chaos beings exploited the reduced protection to begin an invasion 199.

The Three Realms

The Primordial World later divided into three isolated realms, separated by powerful barriers that restrict travel and obstruct even Saints' divine senses 449 450.

• Immortal Realm — The upper realm, containing the Primordial Starry Sky, Immortal Court, major blessed lands, and the most Spirit Qi-rich regions. It directly receives Chaos Spiritual Qi and converts it into Innate Spiritual Qi 449.
• Human Realm — A vast middle realm divided into thirteen regions. Nine are primarily inhabited by humans, while four larger regions are home to the myriad races 449.
• Underworld Realm — Formed as the Sea of Blood and Netherworld Underworld detached from the former West Sea and sank toward the lower reaches of the world 449.

Buzhou Mountain became the central pillar linking the three realms. A passage between them exists within the mountain but remains sealed 449 450.

External Expansion

Sapota's Assimilation

Sapota was the first external world fully absorbed by the Primordial World. Primordial laws assimilated Sapota's mountains, rivers, living beings, and world-origin imprint until the Primordial World's embryonic membrane enclosed the new territory 425.

Its absorption produced immediate changes:

• Spiritual energy throughout the Primordial World increased by thirty percent.
• The world's laws became more complete and its Dao Rhyme deepened.
• New Innate Spiritual Roots and Innate Spirit Treasures began forming.
• Cultivators found their comprehension clearer and cultivation bottlenecks easier to overcome. 425

After Sapota's assimilation, three hundred and sixty Great Thousand Worlds aligned with the Primordial World and formed cross-world passages. These worlds have lower limits than the Primordial World and cannot safely accommodate Grand Luo Golden Immortals 425.

Origin Realm Integration

The Origin Realm ultimately accepted integration after its rulers recognized that its independent Heavenly Dao and Saint-level authority would be subordinate within the Primordial World 687.

As the Origin Realm descended into the western Primordial Wilderness, its spiritual mountains, rivers, springs, and spiritual roots merged into the West. The region's spiritual energy rose sharply, while Turbid Qi and Baleful Intent were cleansed by the Origin Realm's Dao resonance 688.
