Background / History

Tang San is reborn in Qinghe City with tens of thousands of years of memories and insights from his previous life. Discovering that the Spirit Empire has unified the continent, he resolves to overthrow it, protect Xiao Wu, and restore the Tang Sect. His confidence is rooted in his past status and the backing he believes he has from the Asura God. 349

As a child, Tang San secretly cultivates the Mysterious Heaven Skill, completing its first level before his Martial Soul Awakening. He awakens Blue Silver Grass with Innate Full Soul Power, refuses Su Yuntao’s invitation to join the Spirit Hall Empire, and enters Notting Primary Soul Master Academy. He chooses a Mandala Snake as his first soul ring, following the route familiar from his previous life. 362 363

Tang San reunites with Xiao Wu at Notting Academy after searching anxiously for her. He deliberately loses their spar to re-establish their childhood bond, then leaves the academy with her after clashing with his homeroom teacher. 364

After Tang Hao is killed by Dongfang Lingyun, Tang San sets aside immediate grief in favor of revenge. He seeks Tang Yuehua in Spirit City, intending to use her influence to locate Dugu Bo, recruit him, and gain access to the Immortal Herbs he believes will strengthen Shrek for the Continental Elite Soul Master Tournament. 420 430 431

Appearance

Before awakening the Blue Silver Emperor, Tang San resembles Tang Hao in his youth by roughly sixty to seventy percent. His most striking later alteration is the External Soul Bone formed from eight spider limbs emerging from his back. 429 431

  • Carries eight spider-like External Soul Bone lances after absorbing the Rakshasa God’s soul ring. 429
  • His Blue Silver Grass is described as a beneficial mutation with toughness comparable to a Ghost Vine Martial Soul. 482
  • Summons the double-sided Clear Sky Hammer with his left hand. 503

Personality

Tang San is intensely ambitious and self-assured, relying on memories from his prior life to make long-term plans against the Spirit Empire. He is willing to delay immediate gains, manipulate information, and conceal his intentions when he believes doing so will secure a strategic advantage. 349 430 500

His attachment to Xiao Wu strongly governs his decisions. When she is endangered, his killing intent becomes unstable enough to risk qi deviation; he also frames dangerous choices as necessary protection to calm her objections. 398 500

Tang San reacts poorly when his presumed superiority is challenged. Gu Nanfeng seeing through Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track shocks him, while the failure of his Godly Zhuge Crossbow to mark an auction-house steel plate leaves him defensive and displeased. 395 438

Abilities & Skills

Twin Martial Souls

Tang San possesses Blue Silver Grass and the Clear Sky Hammer. His second Martial Soul is publicly revealed during the tournament, exposing him as a Clear Sky Sect-linked Twin Martial Soul genius. 431 503 504

  • Blue Silver Grass — his primary Control System Martial Soul, later used with four soul rings. 395 502
  • Clear Sky Hammer — a Power Attack System Martial Soul strengthened with two Thousand Year and two Ten Thousand Year strength-type rings. 503
  • He regards the Clear Sky Hammer’s soul rings as temporarily expendable, intending to transfer lower-level rings after Xiao Wu’s future sacrifice and restoration. 500

Mysterious Heaven Skill

A Tang Sect Secret Technique that produces upright, gentle internal energy and can convert absorbed energy into pure Mysterious Heaven Skill true qi. 350 501

  • Permits cautious cultivation before Martial Soul Awakening. 350
  • Supports Tang San’s powerful inner strength and recovery after devouring life force. 426 501
  • Its broad energy compatibility enables him to refine energy absorbed by the Eight Spider Lances. 501

Tang Sect Techniques

Tang San relies heavily on Tang Sect martial arts and hidden-weapon methods, particularly while his Blue Silver Grass remains underdeveloped. 27

  • Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track — high-speed movement technique that creates ghost-like afterimages; its patterns are read by Gu Nanfeng. 362 395
  • Mysterious Jade Hand — hardens his hands to a jade-like state capable of catching powerful hidden weapons. 395
  • Purple Demon Eyes — observes opponents’ movements and examines Tang Hao’s old injury. 400 426
  • Guanyin’s Tear — described as Tang San’s strongest attack; fails to pierce Qian Renxue’s God Equipment. 427
  • Buddha’s Fury Tang Lotus — considered as an escape option when Tang Sect elders corner him. 426

Eight Spider Lances

An External Soul Bone obtained through the Rakshasa God’s soul ring. Its eight spider limbs can pierce Man Faced Demon Spiders and devour their life force. 429 500

  • Rapidly increases Tang San’s Soul Power and strengthens the lances’ hardness, density, and sharpness. 500 501
  • Produces no Evil Soul Master aura despite its life-devouring function. 500
  • Wastes part of the absorbed energy because the process is not a proper soul-ring absorption method. 500
  • Its enhanced effect allows Tang San to reach the Soul Ancestor stage after devouring ten Thousand Year Man Faced Demon Spiders. 501

Blue Silver Techniques

After obtaining his fourth soul ring, Tang San gains offensive and restraining techniques derived from a Ten Thousand Year Man Faced Demon Spider. 501

  • Blue Silver Prison — Fourth Soul Skill. 501
  • Blue Silver Thorn Array — Self-Created Soul Skill gained alongside the fourth ring. 501

Clear Sky Hammer Techniques

Tang San uses the Clear Sky Hammer’s immense weight, innate lightning attribute, and inherited Clear Sky Sect battle methods. 397 503

  • Dance of the Chaotic Cloak — used alongside his Blue Silver Emperor against Tang Hao. 532
  • Explode Ring — considered his decisive option against powerful tournament opponents, but not used lightly due to its cost. 427 503
  • The hammer’s lightning attribute provides a paralysis effect. 503

Divine Power and Artifacts

Tang San possesses access to Sea God-related power and retains the Asura Mark, though his divine encounters are repeatedly entangled with dreams and outside interference. 385 427 532

  • Asura Mark — used to intimidate the Rakshasa God when she attempts to recruit him. 385
  • Sea God Trident — wielded during his confrontation with Qian Renxue and again after his Sea God revival. 427 532
  • Unfixed Storm — Sea God Trident divine skill capable of affecting gods. 428
  • Never to Return — the Sea God Trident’s Third Form; stopped by Tang Hao with a single punch. 532

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Guanyin’s Tear — strongest hidden-weapon attack. 427
  • Mother-Child Soul Chasing Life-Taking Gall — used during a bet against Gu Shuangyue. 415
