Background / History

Tang Hao was Tang Chen’s grandson and Tang Tian’s son. As one of the Clear Sky Sect’s “Twin Stars,” he was regarded as the sect’s greatest hope; even Tang Chen considered him more promising than Tang Xiao. At twenty-one, he was already a Level 56 Soul King and overwhelmingly defeated Yu Qingtian while deliberately holding back the final force of his hammer strike. 62

His early clash with Gu Han at the Pope’s Wedding became the defining setback of his youth. Though the match appeared to end in a draw, Tang Hao’s family understood that he had lost. He responded by nearly doubling his daily training and concentrating on the Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer and Great Sumeru Hammer. 73

Tang Hao entered Slaughter City under Tang Chen’s guidance. He completed its hundred-victory requirement in under four years, escaped Hell Road, and left burdened by an intense murderous aura that Tang Chen had to suppress. 148

His rivalry with Gu Han continued after he reached Soul Emperor rank. Gu Han’s Tai Chi techniques repeatedly neutralized Tang Hao’s hammer arts, Explode Ring, and Divine Slaughter’s Domain before defeating him without damaging his foundation. Tang Hao later left Spirit City, declaring that he would defeat Gu Han within ten years. 162 274

Tang Hao fell in love with Lan Yinyin after she inherited the Blue Silver Emperor position. Although he briefly desired the power of her Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Ring, he rejected that impulse and chose loyalty to her. 331 When the Clear Sky Sect demanded that he kill Lan Yinyin, he refused and fought his own sect to protect her. The resulting conflict led to Tang Tian disowning him; Tang Tian later died from his injuries, and Tang Xiao became sect master. 332 333

Later, Tang Hao became the father of Tang San. His connection to the Asura God increasingly affected him: Gu Han identified him as a guardian selected for the Asura God’s inheritor, while Tang Yuehua concluded that Dongfang Lingyun’s final victory had freed him from the god’s control. 380 422

He is fiercely protective of those he considers family. He defended Lan Yinyin against his sect, shielded Tang San during confrontations with Dongfang Lingyun and Chen Xin, and was prepared to fight powerful opponents rather than abandon them. 332 378 399
