Qin He fought demons, zombies, and the White Lotus Army while gaining new techniques and spreading worship of Great Immortal Green Ox. He led his followers toward Jinan and infiltrated the Lotus Sect’s leadership, where a confrontation in the woods ended with lightning and a figure falling from the sky.

  • Qin He secretly killed the Black Dragon King and two allied water demons, then joined the southbound campaign and reached Linqing.

Arc 9The Frozen Canal Campaign

Qin He joined the southbound campaign, killed the Black Dragon King and two of its allies, and gained new techniques while the fleet fought its way through the rebellion. After reaching Linqing, he became entangled in a dispute with Fahai and Wu De over a collision on the ice.

  • Qin He seized the Daoist’s possessions, claimed his mysterious golden egg, and learned of the White Lotus Army’s advance and the corrupt magistrate’s crimes.
  • Qin He forced Xu Tianen out of the palace, then joined the southbound Corpse Burning Hall procession with Xu Changshou and Li Tie.
  • When the Black Dragon King demanded more tribute from the fleet, Qin He secretly killed it, the Crab Spirit, and the Loach Spirit, then spared the Red Carp Spirit.
  • Qin He burned the water demons’ corpses, learned Water Escape Technique and Basic Alchemy, and refined two Beast Strengthening Pills.
  • Tu Baishou’s fleet fought White Lotus forces, while Qin He reached a ravaged village, burned bodies, and learned of Wu Sanhe and a collapsed imperial mausoleum entrance.

Arc 10The Green Ox’s Teachings

Qin He secretly burned corpses, gained new abilities, and spread the worship of Great Immortal Green Ox among Wei Wu’s convoy as they traveled north. At a graveyard camp, a deadly ritual revealed that the Spirit Sacrifice had returned, and Qin He prepared to face it.

  • Little Calf kicked Wei Wu away when he prodded it, and Gong Tianxing dismissed the monk and Daoist after they failed to identify Qin He.
  • Black-Haired Zombies broke loose at the Linqing Corpse Burning Facility, and the Great Monk and Wu De fought alongside Tu Baishou’s squad until the complete Lingyun Scripture burned most of the horde to ash.
  • Qin He caught Qian Wuliang while retrieving his Yellow Wind Scarf, learned that Ruan Qianning had strengthened and commanded the zombies, and drove off city guards with a Sea Mine.
  • Qin He burned the dead and gained techniques, including Savage Ox Strength, while telling the corpse burners that Great Immortal Green Ox had taught him, and Wei Wu’s convoy then left for Riverside Town.
  • Many in the camp dreamed that Great Immortal Green Ox imparted teachings, and Dou Lao Liu demonstrated his newfound Savage Ox Strength by uprooting a poplar tree.
  • As the convoy camped beside disturbed burial grounds, Qin He burned Walking Corpses until a ghostly cry drew Wei Wu and Chang Wen to five ritualistically slain men.
  • Chang Wen identified the ritual as the work of the Spirit Sacrifice, while Qin He repaired the victims’ heads at the Brick Kiln and vowed to deal with the creature before someone knocked on the door.

Arc 11The Corpse-Burning Squad

Qin He hunted the Spirit Sacrifice, gained new soul and combat arts, and helped the Corpse-Burning Squad defend Liu County from the White Lotus Army. After secretly killing Protector Yan, he returned to the furnace while the army appointed a new commander and waited for reinforcements.

  • Qin He broke the Spirit Sacrifice’s illusions, chased it to the City God’s Mansion, and fought Ling Tianheng’s department before binding and burning the spirit.
  • Qin He learned the Merit Soul Art, formed a first-grade Merit Golden Soul, and began using the Corpse-Burning Squad to earn merit.
  • Wei Yuanji and other soldiers worshipped Great Immortal Green Ox, and the enlarged squad defeated White Lotus troops before taking shelter in Liu County.
  • Chang Wen and Dou Lao Liu defended Liu County’s walls against White Lotus fighters, while Qin He helped them defeat Ghost Foot Three and the Four Evils of White Lotus.

Qin He built Great Immortal Green Ox’s following in Liucheng, then led the faithful toward Jinan and infiltrated the Lotus Army’s leadership. At a banquet, he provoked a series of confrontations as lightning and a falling figure signaled disaster in the woods.

  • Qin He judged Yan Yan’s life, received a wisp of Chaos Qi, and learned that Yan Yan’s defeat had crippled the Lotus Sect’s plans.
  • Qin He killed Li Yao and the Flying Corpse King, disguised himself as Yu Balang, and escaped suspicion as the camp descended into confusion.
