As the dynasty’s fortunes weakened and a new emperor took the throne, Qin He turned his attention to the court and Xu Changshou announced his marriage to Yang Qiao’er.

• Wei Wu recovered from devastating injuries and defeated the burly Fox Clan attendant, but the Fox Immortal soon attacked him and forced Shen Lian and Tu Baishou into battle.
• With Qin He’s help, the Flying Fish Grand Array and a storm of lightning burned the Fox Immortal’s body, though its soul escaped and later attempted to possess a fox corpse.
• Qin He judged the Fox Immortal in Yama’s Palace, exposed its falsified record, and sentenced it to eternal imprisonment in hell.

Meanwhile, Wei Wu fought the martial world in a string of duels, and the arc ended with Wang Tie Zhu turning toward the Compound-Eyed Evil Cultivator after its insult.

• Qin He stopped Chang Wei from harassing Laifu at Immortal Green Ox Temple and rewarded Tu Baishou, Wei Yuanji, Wei Yuanchun, and Chang Wen with unexpected techniques.
• Wei Wu admitted to the martial world’s accusations and fought off Cai Sandao’s group before fleeing to the Flying Fish Guard, then challenged his pursuers to duels and won several consecutive fights.
• Lamborghini tracked down the Wolf King and Rat Immortal, killed the Wolf King, and brought Hui Miqiu back to Qin He, who learned of an Immortal Corpse in the Western Regions.
• Qin He and his companions dug into the Mass Grave, where they uncovered a blood-red coffin and captured the Red-Clothed Vengeful Ghost and five other ancient fiends.
• Qin He returned to the Corpse Burning Facility with six captives and chose the Demonic Bone Youth and then the Withered Old Man to be burned in the furnace.

Qin He dealt with vengeful spirits and threats to his circle while plotting against the False Gods and forging a Chaos Shovel. Wei Wu survived a Heavenly Tribulation and reached External Force, as plots against Wei Zhongliang and Aquina’s hunt left the capital poised for conflict.

• Qin He delivered Zhao Hongyu, gathered her Soul Tears, and learned techniques from the remaining captives, including the Chaos Codex.
• At Xu Changshou and Yang Qiao’er’s wedding, Xu Deye exposed his schemes against his brother’s family and was struck by lightning after swearing an oath, and Qin He also found False God qi above Yang Qiao’er.

Aquina’s plot brought the Ancient Demon and a host of dragon slayers against Great Li, but Qin He returned in time to defeat them and protect the capital. Aquina prepared for his end, while Wei Wu woke to find Wu De and Fahai beating him over Little Calf’s old collision with them.

• Huang Jian, Huang Wuling, and Huang Youshu each provoked the Donglin officials at Rouge Hall, until the Donglin faction beat the three Huangs and left them injured.
• Aquina lured Wei Wu into a grove, defeated him, and then trapped Qin He in the Immortal Slaying Grand Formation with the Ancient Demon.
• Qin He killed the Ancient Demon, broke open the Heavenly Prison gate with the Chaos Shovel, and received the Sky-Swallowing Demonic Art before leaving.
• Aquina’s Dragon Slaying Formation and summoned demons attacked the capital, overwhelming the Flying Fish Guard and Dragon Guard Eunuchs as Shen Lian refused to retreat.
• Wei Wu returned and fought the invading demons, while Qin He killed the Catfish Demon and three Giant Demons and drove the horde away.
• Qin He confronted Aquina and granted him an hour to bid farewell to his old friends before entering the Corpse Burning Furnace.
