Background / History

Lin Shuguang remembers a previous life as an IT programmer. After refining a mutated Nine Revolutions Golden Core, he witnesses projections of that former life, his rise as a cultivator, and a saber-wielding figure capable of collapsing the world with a single strike. The projections suggest that his transmigration was arranged and that he may be bound to a repeating conflict against the Heavenly Dao 727.

His cultivation begins in earnest after awakening the Blade of Slaughter. Though his initial Blood Energy is only 9 Cal, he discovers that his status panel allows him to improve techniques through resources and acquire Blood Essence by killing. He resolves to use this advantage to enter a Martial Arts School and grow stronger 3 5.

The Blood-colored Demonic Saber later sends his divine soul into the body of a young man in ancient Yujing City who is also named Lin Shuguang. The saber claims that this possession is intended to “defy heaven” and change that man’s fate, but it provides no clear explanation of their connection 385.

Despite his ruthless reputation, he protects people he recognizes as his own. He arranges Huang Qisheng’s protection before leaving for Magic City, worries about passing cultivation resources to his parents and sister, and remains determined to return to his original world to keep his family safe 158 712.

He is also resourceful and opportunistic. He treats wealth, techniques, artifacts, enemies, and even factional disputes as potential cultivation resources, while remaining wary of the karma and hidden schemes surrounding his rebirth 250 712.
