Background / History

Master Gou had already served as a Blue White Society Member for more than a decade when he was assigned as Mo Qiong's partner. He arrived expecting Mo Qiong to follow his lead, introduced himself only by the surname Gou, and insisted that he be addressed as “Master Gou.” 249 304

As a veteran Gamma-class Member, he provided Mo Qiong with practical explanations of containment work, including how extraordinary abilities from other worlds must adapt to Earth's Absolute Traits and natural laws. He also contributed three hundred residents to populate Mo Qiong's Virtual Island. 251 253

His early partnership with Mo Qiong developed through repeated containment operations. He efficiently coordinated the capture of eight fleeing experts in Pattaya, killed hundreds of War Rats, and captured two Agent Rats before Mo Qiong reached the scene. 320

During the Brotherhood conflict, Master Gou recognized the danger posed by hereditary Assassin Masters and treated the pursuit of their stronghold as both a tactical risk and a personal matter; several Members he knew had been killed by the assassins. 353 354

Appearance

Master Gou's ordinary body is exceptionally strong, but his primary combat transformation turns him into a tiny, childlike female figure whose size conceals extreme physical power. 363 560

  • In Valkyrie form, he is under one meter tall and is estimated to weigh roughly fifteen kilograms. 363
  • His transformed body has long hair, tiny limbs, and a distinctly childish face that contrasts with his murderous expression. 363
  • He can burst to roughly three seconds per hundred meters for short distances while transformed. 364
  • Following Dragon Blood enhancement, he retains thick, hard, controllable hair even after returning to a normal form; he can move it like tentacles or snap it like a whip. 684
  • He is frequently seen smoking or chewing homemade cigarettes. 261 295

Personality

Master Gou is blunt, domineering, and stubborn. He expects others to use his preferred title, speaks casually even to senior personnel, and is willing to slam a table in front of a Grand Arbiter when defending Mo Qiong. 249 454

Behind his rough manner is a deeply practical veteran's mindset. He refuses to treat containment missions as guaranteed successes, harshly corrects Mo Qiong when he becomes overconfident, and emphasizes that a careless attitude can turn the next mission into a Member's last. 346

He is exceptionally fearless in combat, but this is paired with intense trust in his allies rather than recklessness alone. He deliberately allowed himself to face the Divine Sword's attack because he believed Mo Qiong would act to save him. 599 600

Master Gou's defining trait is his willpower. Even after enduring the Empress's torment until his consciousness regressed, he never gave up; Mo Qiong later calls him the apex of human will. 1048 1049

Abilities & Skills

Valkyrie Transformation

Master Gou's transformed form makes him a Valkyrie, a combat-oriented Special Cadre normally restricted to women. His male body changes into a female form to retain the effect. 404

  • Possesses senses beyond human limits, including an enhanced sixth sense. 404
  • Gains the Rupture Effect when wielding melee weapons: strikes can crack or shatter natural substances. 404 832
  • Can use his sudden transformation to disrupt an opponent's aura lock and evade targeted attacks. 510
  • The Rupture Effect has limited Absoluteness and is ineffective against many Contained Objects. 404 1007

Physical Combat

Master Gou is an elite close-combat fighter whose technique, reaction speed, endurance, and battlefield judgment compensate for opponents with stronger supernatural abilities. 353 364

  • Has an untransformed punching power of 3,400 kilograms; his normal physical strength is later described as approximately 3,500 kilograms. 404 560
  • Uses a lightweight transformed body for explosive speed, agility, aerial movement, and evasive flexibility. 363 364
  • Can fight multiple Assassin Masters at once, though a prolonged multi-opponent engagement pushes him to his limits. 368
  • Employs enemy recoil and attack angles to accelerate, evade, and counterattack. 510
  • Fought fifty Dragon Blood Warriors for hours without using Dragon Blood himself, eventually falling only from exhaustion. 640

Cultivation and Primordial Spirit

Master Gou possesses cultivation and had reached the Nascent Soul Stage during the cultivation-world operations. 510 640

  • Channels mana through melee weapons to resist and redirect Qi-energy attacks. 510
  • Can eject his Primordial Spirit to avoid fatal bodily damage. 599
  • Uses his Primordial Spirit to wield and suppress the Divine Sword. 600
  • His cultivation reserves can be exhausted; during the Dragon Blood crisis, his Nascent Soul Stage dropped back to that of a mortal. 640

Steel Will, Sweetness Field, and Air Wall

Master Gou's Special Cadre is Steel Will, and he possesses a Sweetness Field with a documented diameter of forty-one meters. 404

  • Uses Air Walls for combat support, including enlarging his arms into massive striking fists. 564
  • Can use Air Walls and an Electric Lamp Deity statue to illuminate deep water and awaken allies. 760
  • His Sweetness Field later becomes part of the fused Ougong Body used by Mo Qiong. 924

Faith-Based Attacks

Master Gou can convert powerful faith into divine attacks. 744

  • Carves a deity's image into his own flesh to invoke divine fire. 744
  • Generated a palm-sized fireball whose temperature rose rapidly into a blinding white heat. 744
  • Acted as a remote power source while Mo Qiong used a deity statue to launch faith-powered plasma projectiles. 746
  • His faith attacks are constrained by his available Faith Power. 744

Divine Sword and Sword Dao

Master Gou becomes the Holder of the Divine Sword after understanding that its overwhelming confidence must be accepted rather than resisted. 600

  • The sword grants an absolute conviction that his blade cannot be blocked. 600
  • Master Gou retains self-restraint despite the sword's confidence, choosing whether or not to act. 600
  • The Divine Sword's highest principle is “subdue the enemy without fighting”; it cannot directly take a life. 600
  • His released sword energy can annihilate large-scale weapons and devastate fleets when redirected by Mo Qiong. 883 885
  • As Emperor Yan, his sword energy effortlessly destroys the Aswar civilization's Super Life Disintegration Ray. 883

God of Destruction

Master Gou's godhood originates from becoming the first life sent into an antimatter universe. 834

  • His physical body becomes antimatter-compatible, and he manifests the Law of Destruction. 834
  • Governs an immense origin-energy reserve, later described as a quarter of the material energy in a universe. 1001
  • Initially cannot release or transfer all of that energy effectively. 835 839
  • Supplies divine power to Mo Qiong after their consciousnesses fuse within the Ougong Body. 924

Extreme Willpower

Master Gou's willpower is regarded as the strongest known among the Blue White Society's members. 870

  • Resists fear of death strongly enough to lead charges against the Divine Sword's Holder. 599
  • Endures torment without surrendering, even when adaptation strips away memories and thoughts unrelated to endurance. 1048
  • His persistence turns an apparently unwinnable bet against the Empress into victory. 1048 1049
