Mei originally expected to follow a predictable scientific career influenced by her father, a physicist specializing in electromagnetism. The Great Honkai changed that path: after surviving the outbreak, she entered Moth to Fire's Sea of Quantum experimental group as an assistant and committed herself to changing the world regardless of the cost. 321

Within days of joining the field, Mei learned foundational Honkai knowledge, bypassed databases through a self-created AI, Prometheus, and secured remains of the Emperor-class Honkai Beast Ganesha for biological research. Her early work produced the direction that became the Fusion Warrior Project. 321
