Background / History

Su Qing'an was born to Su Jinyan and Chen Luoqiu, both highly intelligent Destiny personnel who died during an excavation expedition. Destiny paid him substantial compensation after their deaths. Before his life changed, he was socially anxious and reclusive, with very few close connections. 167 173

After transmigrating and repeatedly confronting death, Honkai disasters, and lost promises, he developed a Heart Lake through the Sword Heart Technique. He used the State of Still Water to contain emotions that otherwise threatened to overwhelm him. 12

Seeking strength, Su Qing'an trained across martial arts dojos in Changkong City. His abnormal insight enabled him to learn techniques almost immediately, leading Chen Junxuan to accept him as a disciple and pass down Taixuan Style. 16

He later enrolled at St. Freya Academy as its only male student. Though initially considered merely an extraordinary civilian by Rita Rossweisse, he had already fought and killed multiple Mortals with an ordinary sword despite less than half a year of martial training. 167

He is intensely self-sacrificing. Su Qing'an will take responsibility for others' safety, honor even unilateral promises, and risk his own life rather than allow those he cares about to suffer.
