Background / History

Satou Yunona was originally an ordinary high school student: talkative, occasionally cunning, easily distracted in class, and prone to using Su Qing'an’s café as an excuse to avoid studying. She was a regular customer with an unusual preference for unsweetened mocha made from pure coffee beans. During this period, she befriended Kiana and enjoyed teasing her about Su Qing'an. 21 71

She attended Senba Academy and was deeply affected by the unjust death of fellow student Asakura Miyuki. Friends distanced themselves from Yunona after she reacted to the incident, but she became more independent and began visiting Su Qing'an’s café regularly. She noticed his loneliness and valued the ordinary routine she shared with him and her mother. 32

During the Honkai disaster in Changkong City, Yunona was eroded by Honkai Energy and became a Pseudo-Herrscher. Her first transformation left her detached, hostile toward humanity, and directed by a destructive purpose, though she retained an inexplicable attachment to Su Qing'an after healing him. 56 57

When ordered by the Miko to kill Su Qing'an, Yunona remembered his efforts to save her. She rejected the command, reawakened her human consciousness, and severed her connection to the Honkai consciousness. 62 She subsequently enrolled at St. Freya Academy under Theresa’s supervision, seeking strength, control over her Authority, and revenge against those responsible for the artificial Honkai outbreak that killed her parents. 68

Personality

Before the Changkong City disaster, Yunona was an honest, naïve, mischievous teenager who enjoyed beautiful girls, online shipping discourse, café visits, and avoiding schoolwork. She was also empathetic: Asakura Miyuki’s death disturbed her deeply, and she recognized Su Qing'an’s loneliness even when he tried to hide it. 21 32 71

Her transformation into a Pseudo-Herrscher makes her more reserved, cool, and emotionally distant. She becomes capable of looking at gruesome Honkai-related crime scenes with little outward fear, develops a subconscious indifference toward humans, and fears becoming a monster again. 68 80 84

Despite this detachment, Yunona is intensely loyal to those she considers important. She is driven by grief, hatred of the Honkai, and a determination to become strong enough that she will not lose anyone again. Her attachment to Su Qing'an is especially pronounced, though she ultimately accepts Fu Hua’s importance to him and defines Su Qing'an as an irreplaceable person in her life. 68 78 160
