Resolve and Projections!
The night grew deeper.
Soren carefully placed the Elemental Crystal close to his body and then checked his data display.
He had accumulated over 34,000 Slaughter Experience Slaughter Experience points, enough to level up several classes in a row. However, the problem he now faced was whether to continue Wizard Level or his Rogue to prepare for advancing to a higher class. Wizard Level required time to memorize Spell, but the potential for growth was huge, and he probably wouldn't have much time to memorize Spell for the next two weeks. Leveling up as Rogue would allow him to advance directly; Assassin and Shadow Dancer were also considered very powerful classes.
"Mages are indeed built up with time and money!"
Soren frowned and glanced out the window. He seemed to hear some movement, possibly the village's Elf Patrol. It was best not to be outside after Midnight, because even if you were just wandering around, no one would believe you were just strolling. They would suspect you, and might even think you were a thief, a robber, or someone with ill intentions.
Faint cries of surprise could be heard!
However, the noise wasn't very loud and disappeared after a while.
Soren glanced outside discreetly and saw torches burning in the distance. It seemed that more than a dozen Elf Guard were gathered near the temple. Each village had a small temple, where priests who served the Elven Deity lived. Most temples were built in cities, and the priests in the villages were all Acolyte of around level 5, whose Divine Magic were relatively limited.
After thinking for a moment, Soren decided to prioritize leveling up his Rogue rank.
Compared to Wizard, he was more familiar with Rogue. Whether it was combat style or dealing with various situations, increasing his Wizard Level only allowed him to exert about half the effect, but increasing his Rogue level allowed Soren to exert 120% of his potential. Furthermore, Rogue could undergo a second advancement under the right conditions, and it was even possible for them to undergo a third, ultimate advancement.
This brings us to the topic of advanced Rogue.
The Rogue class has many advancement paths. Those focused on thieving abilities become [Master Thief], those focused on combat abilities become [Swashbuckler], those focused on tracking abilities become [Bounty Hunter], those focused on assassination abilities become [Assassin], those focused on Stealth abilities become [Stalker], and those focused on Dodge abilities become [Shadow Dancer].
In addition, there are semi-advanced professions that serve the Deity, such as [Ronin], [Blackguard], and [Undead Hunter], as well as Legendary Class that advance to the second level, such as [Shadowwalker], [Night Mask Treasure Hunter], and [Shadow Assassin]. The professions that advance to the third level are very special, belonging to the realm of the Deity, and are quite rare, with [Lord of Shadows] being a representative example.
The second advancement depends solely on whether the conditions are met. If successful, the original advanced profession will be replaced.
Soren once wanted to advance from [Stalker] to [Lord of Shadows], but unfortunately, he failed completely in the end!
He cannot obtain the Divine Rank Shard the Lord of Shadows's divine essence.
In the battle against the Wilderness Ogre of White Horse City, the Storm Lord was a priest who also served as Barbarian. He simultaneously advanced to the Legendary Class [Storm Lord].
According to Soren's estimation, her Storm Lord class level is at most around 3.
If he once obtained Divine Rank Shard the Lord of Shadows's divine essence, then his Level 5 [Stalker] will be replaced with Level 5 [Shadowwalker], eventually advancing to Level 1 [Lord of Shadows].
The overall job level remains unchanged, but advancing to the next level will result in a significant power boost!
If Soren remembered correctly, the Deity he was most familiar with was the Lord of Shadows. His class level was 'Level 10 Rogue /Level 10 Night Mask /Level 5 Lord of Shadows /Level 5 Shadow Weave ', in addition to the 'Level 10 God of Shadows ' granted by Divine Ability, for a total of 40 class levels.
If you want to stand alongside the Gods, you must learn to restrain yourself and control your desire to learn abilities indiscriminately.
Scattering your energy will never be as effective as focusing on one area!
Strictly speaking
Soren's path to power advancement is still towards the [Lord of Shadows] level, as it requires a high Rogue rank as well as Lord of Shadows ability. Advancement involves many attribute, skill, and Feat requirements; generally, the higher one 'Feat feats, the more advanced classes they can choose. Even without changing to [Shadow Wizard], he can already reach the spellcasting level required to advance to Lord of Shadows.
If there is no spellcasting level, then the only way to advance is through Divine Rank!
Soren sat at the table, contemplating his future path of advancement. It was a very careful decision, because if he chose the wrong path, he would take many detours and ultimately fail to achieve his goals, unable to integrate his abilities. He would simply be mediocre at everything. If he didn't have the luck to obtain Divine Rank, the final result would be nothing more than becoming a half-baked Legendary Professional. Avatar could easily kill him. He dared to fight a pure-blooded Legendary Wizard back then because he was Legendary Tier pure- Rogue.
When a certain ability is strengthened to its limit, it ultimately comes into contact with the power of laws!
"To become an advanced Assassin, one needs to master over 200 points in Alchemy and reach the maximum level in Poisonmaking. Then, a second advancement will allow the Assassin to become Shadow Assassin. I can already cast 3rd-level Spell, and I should become Shadow Assassin around the time I reach a higher level. If I can go to Orc territory in the future, I can also learn the Spell-like Ability Project Image, which will undoubtedly make my combat power much stronger than before."
Soren took out a piece of paper and began writing dense symbols and characters on it. These were his past memories of job levels and the Feat skills that could be trained and mastered. All advanced jobs excelled in one aspect. If Rogue was good at everything, whether it was stealing, combat, or Stealth, then the other advanced jobs concentrated their abilities in one area.
In other words, specializing in a particular area.
Soren wrote a lot of words on the paper, probably thousands or even tens of thousands of characters. By the time he finished listing all the various memory materials, it was already close to midnight.
"To advance from Assassin to Shadow Assassin... hmm... there are still three Feat to go, all of which are very difficult to Feat."
Soren glanced at the ability data on the table, then drew several lines connecting the Shadow Assassin's abilities to the Wizard Level. Finally, he added it to the advancement requirements for Lord of Shadows, frowning as he said, "Still lacking twelve Feat, five free attribute points, over five hundred skill points, and a Divine Rank Shard."
well.
Soren sighed, then muttered to himself, "As expected, my innate attributes are still insufficient. Without the genius attributes of Heroic Template, my current talent alone cannot advance in a short time."
After listing one set of data, Soren took out another sheet of paper and began calculating the ability bonuses of the Shadow Dancer.
Advanced professions all possess certain innate abilities, and the ultimate goal of these abilities is to accumulate them to meet the requirements for advancing to certain Legendary Class.
Just like Dragonblooded Sorcerer, you can never advance in rank without the abilities of Sorcerer.
It wasn't until dawn that Soren finished his calculations for the Shadow Dancer's advancement. Looking at the dense array of symbols, he murmured, "Shadow Dancer can advance to Shadowwalker. They're sufficient in Stealth, Dodge, and Shadow Mastery. Basically, they don't need to spend extra time training their abilities, but it seems they're still missing two or three Feat."
"Then comes the advanced Lord of Shadows... still a huge gap!..."
Soren smacked his forehead hard, banishing the incredibly complex calculations from his mind, then walked to the window and took a deep breath.
No matter how advanced he becomes, he still cannot meet the most basic requirements for Lord of Shadows: 450 points in Stealth skill, 300 points in Dodge skill, 300 points in Knowledge (Plane), 150 points in Scouting skill, 150 points in Search skill, 150 points in Spellcraft, Lord of Shadows [Talent], Shadow Shift [Legendary], Plane Shift [Shadow], Shadow Domain [Legendary], 30 points in Agility, 25 points in Perception, etc.
"It's no use."
Soren gathered the papers on the table and muttered, "No matter how much I rely on advancement and stacking, it's useless; in the end, I'm still far behind."
The second advancement leads to Legendary Class.
The Lord of Shadows is at the third stage of advancement. His abilities are on par with those of a Deity. No matter how hard he racked his brains to recall, he couldn't find any way to advance quickly.
Most of his skills and Feat require him to spend a long time training and mastering them, which could take decades!
"Without Divine Rank, unless one is also Godsbane, the attributes will not be sufficient!"
Soren sighed and tore the paper to shreds. A spark appeared at his fingertips, and soon all the statistics were reduced to ashes. He sat down again, picked up a pen, and scribbled a few lines, connecting many complex symbols, muttering to himself, "If I can't advance to the Lord of Shadows level, then I can only look to the present."
Assassin.
Shadow Dancer.
Bounty Hunter.
Soren drew three symbols on the paper, then listed the symbols for Warrior, Ranger, Wizard, Sorcerer, priest, and so on. He closed his eyes and pondered for a long time, trying to deduce the combat abilities of each class from memory. This feeling was somewhat like a scientist deducing engineering methods in his mind, or conducting a tactical sandbox simulation in his head. After a long while, he slowly opened his eyes and said, "It seems that the Shadow Dancer has the strongest coping ability. No matter what class of enemy they are facing, they do not have any obvious weaknesses."
"So?"
Should I advance to the Shadow Dancer level and then try to change my class to Shadowwalker?
"Time of Troubles!"
"Damn it! How can mortals possibly fight against those Avatar who have descended to the mortal realm without absolute talent! Now that no one is risking their lives to overwhelm them, what kind of mess will all those Deity make of? If only I had the talent of Sorcerer, I could advance to become Dragonblooded Sorcerer first, and then find the Fate Card to change my class to Fatespinner. In the future, no matter which Deity I encounter, I wouldn't be completely powerless to fight back!"
There is an insurmountable chasm between Deity and mortals.
Soren spent an entire night calculating, but the only advanced class he knew of that could directly confront Deity— [Lord of Shadows]—couldn't meet the basic requirements for advancement, no matter how hard he racked his brains.
Dragon have begun to appear.
Legendary Professional are also making their appearance one after another, and it won't be long before the Godsbane and the Demigod also show up. No one knows the pressure he is under.
Escaping can only be a temporary solution.
Even if he escaped to the Land of Ice and Snow with Vivian, he would still have to face these high and mighty Deity sooner or later.
Not to mention Vivian might even be the Fear God Child!
Ding ding ding.
A soft knock came at the door in the Morninglord sunlight, very low. When Soren opened it, he was surprised to see little Vivian, carrying a large tray with porridge and snacks. She was struggling to carry it because she was so small, but as soon as Soren opened the door, she immediately looked up and smiled, saying, "Brother, I brought you breakfast!"
Soren reached out and took the tray, picked up little Vivian, and kissed her soft, pink cheek.
This moment.
He made the worst decision in his heart: if there really was no other way, he would give up his Hit Points and become a [Shadow Lich]!!! (To be continued~^~)
