(Day four of quitting smoking. I'm currently experiencing some withdrawal symptoms, which is quite uncomfortable. I'll grit my teeth and keep going. Two updates today.)

Mang Plague?

Soren's expression wasn't good. He wasn't very familiar with the diseases of this world, because professionals generally possessed strong resistance, especially to non-supernatural diseases; many professions were even completely immune to disease. Soren had always possessed 20 points of Superhuman Constitution, meaning his chances of contracting diseases were extremely low, and he hadn't paid much attention to the diseases of this world. However, while he could ignore most diseases, it would be difficult for ordinary people and low-level professionals to do so.

The young man in front of us is actually in serious condition; he is clearly delirious from the high fever.

Judging from his condition and the numerous pustules on his back, Soren felt that the disease resembled the legendary Smallpox. He himself had never seen Smallpox, nor had he ever had anything similar, but he had learned about it in his studies. It was a very serious disease, a type of Smallpox, and its main symptoms were severe toxicosis (chills, high fever, fatigue, headache, aches in the limbs and lower back; convulsions and coma could occur when body temperature rose sharply). The skin would develop macules, papules, vesicles, and pustules in succession, eventually scabbing over and falling off, leaving scars.

Smallpox is a highly contagious disease with a mortality rate of over 30% in unimmunized individuals!

Soren remembered the Smallpox virus.

Because this virus played a significant role in history, his memory of Smallpox symptoms was relatively clear. The young Slave before him had symptoms somewhat similar to Smallpox, except the lesions were concentrated on his back and limbs, not on his face. Furthermore, once the lesions reached the herpes stage, they directly transformed into pustules. From what he could see, his disease was more severe than Smallpox, because Smallpox has an incubation period and gradually worsens after onset.

But!

These Slave had only been on the ship for two days. All the Slave underwent a simple check before being brought aboard, out of fear that some of them might be infected and spread the disease to the others.

But only two days later, he already has festering pustules on his body.

The situation really does seem quite dire!

All eyes turned to Soren. The Slave had been preventing others from approaching the sick man realized that Soren was the one who would determine his brother's Destiny. He quickly knelt on the ground, kowtowing repeatedly and pleading, "Your Excellency!... Master!... Please!... Please save my brother!... He doesn't have a contagious disease!... Please don't throw him into the sea!...!"

Time passed second by second.

Soren pondered for a moment, about half a minute, then looked up expressionlessly and said, "Throw the infected man into the sea! Order the entire place to be disinfected. And the person who cared for him, lock him up in a separate place to prevent him from infecting others!... Have the Slave clean the place themselves and prepare some boiled water for them!... Everyone must be vigilant and report to me immediately if anyone develops the same symptoms!..."

This condition seems very troublesome.

If it really is a virus like Smallpox, then it would be a nightmare!

Soren could not risk the lives of the entire fleet for the sake of one Slave, so after a moment's thought, he chose to deal with them in the most rational way.

As soon as he gave the order, the sailors on both sides quickly moved closer, preparing to throw the young man into the sea.

Bang!

It appeared that his brother's Slave was trying to push the sailor away. However, one of them punched him so hard that he was bent over and slumped over. This man seemed to have some fighting experience and was quite Toughness; even after taking the blow, he didn't fall and remained standing in front of the unconscious young man. The nearby Slave watched coldly, many with fear and disgust in their eyes. Although they were only the lowest of Slave, they hadn't considered giving up their Hit Points; living was much better than dying.

"Elder brother?"

Just then, a clear child's voice rang out in the cabin.

Vivian, dressed in a snow-white princess dress, her hair tied in a single ponytail with a pink ribbon and adorned with a delicate brooch, skipped and hopped down into the stench-filled cabin. Upon entering, the little girl instinctively covered her nose, then casually lowered her hand, smiled at Soren, and hopped over. Having lived in the Slums before, she was well-adapted to stench and filth.

"Huh?"

Vivian, appearing like a little Angel, brought a sliver of light to the dark, foul-smelling cabin. Everyone stared at her in disbelief before she went to Soren's side, raised her small hand, and took his finger in Soren. Then, with a slight furrow of her brow, she asked in a clear, childlike voice, "Brother? What's wrong with them? Is that person sick? They look so pitiful!"

Soren grasped Vivian's small hand in return, then stepped back protectively to shield her.

Although the little girl was the Fear God Child and was unlikely to get sick, Soren was still a little worried and didn't let her get too close to the sick Slave in front of him.

"Hmm?"

The little girl tilted her head and glanced at them, then said, "They really look very sick. What are they planning to do? I think I just heard them saying they were going to throw them into the sea."

"Elder brother!"

"I think I can cure his illness, so maybe we shouldn't throw him into the sea?"

Vivian had barely finished speaking.

The male Slave who had initially protected the infected man knelt down and kowtowed desperately, begging her to save his brother. He was clinging to her like a last straw, never imagining that the little girl before him looked only eight or nine years old. The others were also stunned by what they heard, especially the Slave locked in cages, who all looked up at Vivian, who seemed like a little Angel descended from heaven.

Save him?

Soren was taken aback by what he heard.

He looked down at the little girl in front of him and whispered, "Vivian! Can you cure his illness?"

Wizard don't seem to have any Spell to cure diseases; those are Spell only priests possess. There is 1st-level Spell Spell ' Suppress Disease,' which can delay the onset of a disease by 24 hours, but it still can't cure it. Wizard also need other potions to treat diseases. Necromancy do research diseases, but many of them seem to be immune to illness. Soren had no idea Vivian could cure diseases before.

"You idiot Vivian!"

Just as Vivian was about to treat the sick Slave before her, Lillian's disapproving voice echoed in her mind, "What are you planning to do? Just let that Slave die!... You actually want to use Divine Power to cast Divine Magic to heal him!... Are you crazy?... Divine Power is such a precious thing!... Converting it into a third-circle Divine Magic will consume a lot of energy!..."

"What if we encounter an enemy later?!..."

"Don't do anything reckless!... You bastard!... That's my Divine Power!!!... I should never have given you the right to use Divine Power!..."

Lillian was furious, jumping up and down in anger. Unfortunately, she wasn't in control of her body today.

Vivian's expression remained calm, a sweet smile playing on her cute little face. Outwardly, there was no change in her demeanor, but inwardly she whispered, "Lillian!... It's alright!... They look so pitiful!... And casting a [Remove Disease] spell doesn't require much Divine Power!..."

A strange glimmer of light appeared.

It was a radiant light invisible to the naked eye and a pale golden glow visible to the naked eye. The former appeared in Soren's eyes, while the latter was perceived by the other ordinary people. Soren saw Vivian casting a third-tier Divine Magic, [Remove Disease], using Arcane Magic. The others saw a faint golden light appearing on the little girl's fair hand. That light exuded a sacred aura and power, instilling in them a sense of awe, as if witnessing a divine Divine Miracle.

The power of Spell is so great!

As Vivian cast a [Remove Disease] Spell on the young, sick Slave before her, his illness began to heal rapidly, especially the festering sores. They healed at a speed almost visible to the naked eye. Although the Spell could not fully restore his body to its original state, his illness was completely cured, though his body remained weak due to the damage caused by the disease.

"Thank you!... Thank you!..."

The male Slave before him watched his younger brother gradually regain consciousness, a sliver of color returning to his face. He immediately knelt down again, kissing the ground beneath Vivian's feet. He dared not kiss the shoes of this Angel girl, fearing it would defile her sanctity, so he could only express his gratitude by kissing the ground she had walked on. The young man, who had also been ill, seemed to gradually regain consciousness. He looked at the others before him, then was pulled by his older brother to kowtow several times.

The matter seems to be resolved.

Vivian's Spell cured the sick Slave, and even the surrounding air seemed to be Purify.

The little girl smiled sweetly, then took Soren's hand and left.

She didn't know the names of the two Slave; she simply felt sorry for them and wanted to help them, because Vivian was actually a very kind girl.

The two quickly left the cabin, and the sailors began to arrange for cleaning.

The Slave were still locked in small cages, but they had just remembered a little girl who was like an Angel —a very kind and gentle girl.

She was even willing to use mystical Spell to heal a lowly Slave!

Although they weren't the ones receiving treatment, this act earned their goodwill and gratitude, even though today was only the first time they had met this little girl.
