Under a gray, overcast sky.

Soren carefully led Vivian away, having already designated the Wizard Tower before him as his most challenging objective, perhaps no easier than dealing with Avatar descending to the mortal realm. He was already encountering Adamantite Golem on the First Floor; if he encountered Magical Energy Armor or Constructed Derivative Life inside, Soren wouldn't be surprised at all. The Wizard Tower 'Wizard Tower challenge level was 25 or higher, and some things far exceeded Soren expectations.

Even though he had never seen such a difficult Wizard Tower before!

As expected.

It likely exists to facilitate the construction of Floating City, as only Floating City require a large number of Tower Spirit to maintain the operation of the Flying Citadel, while ordinary Wizard Tower only need one Tower Spirit. Tower Spirit are special Hit Points forms, somewhat like the AI of the Interstellar Era. They are soul-type Constructed Derivative Life a strength level generally above level 21. They can control various areas of the Wizard Tower and, when necessary, replace the Wizard to command the operation of the entire Wizard Tower.

The defining characteristic of a high-level Wizard Tower is that it possesses Tower Spirit.

For example, Goria's Wizard Tower Wizard Tower didn't have Tower Spirit inside, otherwise it wouldn't have been attacked by the Hand of Despair. Therefore, her Wizard Tower can only be considered an incomplete low-level Wizard Tower.

There were some moving, blurry figures on the open grassland.

These phantoms aren't very aggressive; they are souls that have just been transferred to the Shadow Plane, possibly including natives who died at Soren's hands. The destination of souls is highly random. While the vast majority enter the River Styx for reincarnation, many souls cross the Planar Barrier to enter other spaces, including the creatures of the Four Elemental Planes, many of whom are formed from souls from the Material Plane. However, in that case, they almost completely lose their memories, retaining only their elemental consciousness.

"Ignore them."

Soren looked up at the sky, silently calculated the time in his mind, and then said, "Let's find an exit, otherwise we might be trapped here for a whole day by dawn."

Plane Shift requires coordinates.

Vivian is at a disadvantage in this regard because she has only been learning Spell for a short time.

The two began searching for the Shadow Rift, occasionally attracting Shadow Spirit that approached. However, Soren quickly dispatched them with a single strike. These newly born Shadow Life were fragile, granting very little Slaughter Experience Slaughter Experience; each one only gave Soren 120 points. They circled the area they had come from when they suddenly heard a noise. Soren immediately entered Stealth mode, simultaneously signaling Vivian beside him to cast an ' Invisibility on him.

Thump thump thump!

The sound was indescribable, but it gradually transformed into the booming of wings. Judging from the sound, the approaching creatures were large and numerous; otherwise, the sounds wouldn't be so distinct and continuous. Soren led Vivian into a secluded corner, and then the two of them looked up at the sky simultaneously, where patches of shadow appeared above their heads. They gradually approached the location of the Wizard Tower.

"It's the Shadow Raven!"

Soren's expression was serious. He frowned and stared at her for a moment before explaining to Vivian in his arms, "They are one of the species that live in the Shadow Plane, possessing a certain level of intelligence, about as clever as a gorilla. They are a very difficult monster to deal with, living in certain areas of the Shadow Plane. They prefer to live in groups and are numerous; sometimes they even dare to fight Shadow Dragon!"

Shadow Raven.

Before the two appeared enormous birds, eight meters long with a wingspan exceeding six meters, which, from the outside, bore little resemblance to Raven. They were a special kind of mutant Hit Points. Their origins were unknown, but it was certain to be related to the Arcane Empire, as many forbidden experiments at the time ultimately led to the emergence of numerous mutated species. Shadow Raven possessed Sharpness beaks and claws, and they lived in flocks in the Shadow Plane, belonging to its apex predators.

These are CR 16 Mutated Creature; a flock of Shadow Raven dare to challenge a fully grown Shadow Dragon!

The scene before me was somewhat eerie.

The Shadow Raven circled the Wizard Tower, but dared not approach the airspace above the Mythal. They circled again and again, cawing loudly, before flying back in the same direction. This sight puzzled Soren, but he remembered it. The Shadow Raven wouldn't come here for no reason; something must have attracted them. This further confirmed his guess: there must be anti-aircraft defenses near the Wizard Tower, perhaps even Magical Energy Crystal Pulse Cannon, which explained why the Shadow Raven circled the Wizard Tower but dared not approach it.

"Elder brother!"

Vivian reached out her small, white hand and nudged Soren, whispering, "I think I've seen that thing in a book before. They say it can be tamed into flying mounts. But they look so ugly, and riding on them isn't impressive at all!"

Domesticating ravens?

That seems like a possible thing, similar to taming Wyvern.

However, this is extremely costly and time-consuming. Unless one possesses some special heritage, taming these creatures is simply not worthwhile. In the Orc Kingdom near the North, even with tens of millions of people, the number of tamed Wyvern is less than three hundred. These mounts can eat three sheep a day, and the accumulated costs of raising them are quite staggering. Soren hasn't thought about this yet; for him, the most important thing right now is to build two fleets.

The two waited there for a while.

Only after the flock of Shadow Raven had all flown away did they resume their search for the location of the Shadow Rift.

It took Soren nearly an hour to locate the Shadow Rift. These rifts were numerous and not very stable, unless a Wizard set up a stable Teleportation Array. The two quickly returned to the Material Plane. Before leaving, Soren took a deep look at the Wizard Tower, then turned and walked into the Shadow Rift. Vivian also stared at the Wizard Tower for a while before clenching her small fist, as if she had made up her mind.

In her mind, for the first time, Lillian behaved herself and didn't cause any trouble or shout about how she could tear down that broken Wizard Tower in a minute.

Perhaps she realized that this Wizard Tower was even more difficult than dealing with the Vampire God Child! (Note: Lillian likes to boast about killing the Vampire God Child.)

The scene before my eyes gradually changed.

Everything, which had been gray, began to turn colorful. After returning to the Material Plane, Soren squinted for a while to adjust before getting used to the change in colors. The sky in the Shadow Plane was gray, and seeing things after spending some time there was a visual shock. It was still dark, probably around four in the morning. Soren gave a few instructions to his trusted followers who were waiting around him, and then took Vivian's hand and went back.

"Elder brother."

The little girl followed obediently behind, and after thinking for a moment, she tilted her head back and said seriously, "This Wizard Tower seems really powerful! I've read so many books about Wizard Tower, but I've never seen Tower Spirit like this before, and the lowest level is even Guard by Adamantite Golem. If we can control it, I'm afraid no one except the Deity can threaten us!"

Vivian noticed it too.

After all, she had read a lot of books, and since Goria owned a Wizard Tower, she naturally collected many books related to Wizard Tower.

Soren did not answer the question.

He couldn't be sure if this Wizard Tower could fight against the Deity, but he was certain that with their current strength, even if Vivian were a Legendary Sorcerer, the chances of taking down the Wizard Tower were less than one in ten. Even if they invited Goria along, their success rate would still only be close to one in ten.

You can think of this Wizard Tower as a super dungeon with a team challenge difficulty of level 25!

Soren's current thought process can be roughly summarized as follows: he is a half-baked Rogue, barely equivalent to Legendary Rogue at full power; Vivian is a half-baked Legendary Sorcerer, barely reaching the challenge level with her Divine Power unleashed.

And that was it.

In team challenge mode, the Legendary Warrior responsible for tanking the damage is nowhere to be found, the Legendary Wizard Vivian, who is in charge of overall control, is not yet up to the task, and the Legendary priest, who is responsible for protecting and healing to take over the Warrior's role as the second tank, is even more difficult to find. They are simply not up to the standard to clear this Wizard Tower, and even if they could gather enough people, the success rate would only be fifty-fifty.

Vivian is right!

This could indeed be a Wizard Tower that rivals the Deity!

Soren's mind raced, calculating and desperately trying to recall crucial information, but he could only come up with a handful of clues. Finally, he reached out and patted the little girl's head, saying slowly, "We'll talk about it when Goria arrives!"

"With such a Wizard Tower here, she would surely be happy to come and take a look."

We absolutely must ask Goria to come over.

She's the real expert, Northern Witch who received formal Wizard training, far superior to these half-baked amateurs.

"Um?"

Vivian tilted her head and nodded, then asked, "When are you going to invite Elder Sister Goria over, brother? Can I come along too?"

Soren hesitated for a moment upon hearing this, then knelt down, stroked the little girl's head, and said softly, "I'm afraid it won't work this time."

"I plan to take the sea route in a couple of days, heading to the North via the Shipwreck Bay route. After I leave, someone needs to stay here to Stun."

"Vivian!"

"Can you handle this?"

The little girl's face lit up with excitement upon hearing this, and she nodded vigorously, saying, "Yes, brother, don't worry. With me here, they'll definitely behave themselves."

She was very happy.

Because she can finally help her brother like an adult, even though she is only nine years old this year.
