PS: "Giving more support to <Lord of the Abyss>!"

The Northern Witch cautiously withdrew from the room one by one.

Before leaving, they couldn't help but glance at Soren with curiosity, their eyes seemingly full of interest. Someone whom the Eye of the North had specifically requested to stay couldn't be an ordinary person, could it? Even Soren felt a little pressure under the gaze of so many high-ranking Witch; they were practically equivalent to over 80% of the North's top combat power. Any one of these women possessed the strength, status, and position of City Lord.

"Please sit down."

The Eye of the North at Goria, then turned its gaze to Soren, and slowly said, "Thank you very much for your help this time! The Witches' Council shows no mercy to enemies, but it is never stingy with friends! If you hadn't killed that Red Dragon, our battle wouldn't have been so easy. So I'm going to give you a reward, as a way of repaying you for your help."

A faint Spell Aura appeared.

A phantom resembling a treasure vault appeared in the palm of the Eye of the North, within which three items materialized. She gazed at Soren before her and slowly said, "Choose one. Or you can choose this Red Dragon Soul. When you killed it, a Soul Binding Crystal I carried automatically imprisoned a portion of its soul. To some extent, it possesses considerable power, but your spellcasting ability is too low; you probably cannot utilize its power!"

A dark red crystal appeared.

This is an extremely rare crystal, found only on the fringes of Baator Hell. It is a Legendary item whose effect is to automatically cast Spell similar to Soul Bind on certain powerful enemies after they are killed, Soul Binding. This crystal is rarely seen on the Material Plane. Eye of the North possesses such a crystal, Soren is almost certain that she has been to Baator Hell.

The Red Dragon Soul?

Soren glanced at the dark red crystal, but his expression showed little interest.

The power of the soul is very strong.

However, the Soul Bind can only bind a portion of the soul, and it requires special abilities to activate. Otherwise, this crystal would only be considered a top-tier Soul Stone, used for soul transactions with Devil. Soren doesn't yet have the ability to delve into the soul realm, so obtaining this Red Dragon Soul would likely only allow him to absorb and convert it into Slaughter Experience Slaughter Experience, perhaps tens of thousands of points. But he has other ways to accumulate Slaughter Experience, so there's no need to waste such a precious opportunity.

So he looked toward the other rewards the Eye of the North had offered him.

Three Legendary Equipment.

Unfortunately, Soren could only choose one of them.

The first Legendary Equipment was a cloak, Eye of the North didn't seem to intend to explain its uses to Soren. He simply let him choose one item from the collection.

This is when your eyesight really comes in handy!

Soren couldn't determine what the first piece of equipment was, but he was certain it was Legendary Item, somewhere between Legendary Tier 1 and Legendary Tier 2.

The second piece of equipment is a ring.

It was engraved with lifelike dragon patterns, and the inlaid gems didn't seem to be ordinary gems, but rather the eyes of some kind of creature. It emanated a strong Spell Aura, so it should be a powerful Legendary item. Soren couldn't see the actual item and couldn't secretly use his Slaughter Experience to appraise it, so he could only turn his attention to the third item.

Sudden!

Soren shuddered.

He turned to look at the Eye of the North before him, and bowed slightly, saying, "Your Excellency, I choose the last piece of equipment. Those boots are probably what I need most."

The Eye of the North smiled and nodded, saying slowly, "Very discerning. You seem to be a seasoned Rogue."

"And he also possesses considerable knowledge!"

She turned to Goria beside her and instructed, "Goria, go and fetch the Boots of Speed. I have temporarily revoked the treasury's access."

Goria glanced at Soren, then bent down and left.

Soren seemed thoughtful upon hearing this. The Eye of the North sending Goria to fetch something was clearly an attempt to get rid of her. Did she have something else she needed to say to him alone?

Goria followed her out of the room.

The Eye of the North stared intently at Soren. An invisible pressure made Soren tense, but he didn't sense any obvious hostility. After a while, the pressure subsided, and the Eye of the North's white pupils emitted a faint light. It sighed, "I never thought I could see someone beyond Destiny! Perhaps this is why Goria chose you!"

People outside of Destiny?

Soren was taken aback by what he heard, as if he hadn't quite grasped the meaning yet.

The Eye of the North observed his expression and slowly said, "You should have heard the story about the goddess of Destiny flipping a coin. You're the kind of person whose coin lands on its edge."

So that's what it was.

Soren looked thoughtful, but didn't know what to say.

He knew nothing of Prophecy Spell, much less of the science of Destiny; what the Eye of the North could see, Soren could not see at all.

"I met someone like you when I was young."

The Eye of the North seemed to remember something, its expression softening slightly as it slowly said, "There are only one or two like you every few hundred years. You are all restless beings. It seems that anything that gets involved with you will eventually deviate from its original course. This could be a good thing, a ray of hope, or it could be terrible, a fire of Destruction."

The woman with a somewhat aged face seemed lost in memories.

Her white pupils gazed at the sky, as if recalling past events, and she murmured, "It's a pity he still chose a path away from us... Young man!... I don't know what you will ultimately choose!... But I already sense signs of something terrible about to happen!... The stars representing the Gods are dimming; this is definitely not a good thing!..."

"Young people."

"People like you have a very free Destiny, even more free than the Gods."

I hope you can make the right choice!

The Eye of the North sighed, as if she had once encountered someone whose coin of Destiny would stand upright, as was the legendary type. She slowly sat down, not intending to say anything more, but simply lost in thought. With Hit Points as long as hers, she naturally had many memories. Very few Wizard who could advance to the Legendary level were impractical Academic Faction; many of them had experienced many battles, and their footprints even extended to many Plane.

Light footsteps sounded.

Goria quickly entered from outside, carrying a pair of exquisite leather boots with distinctive Rune lines on them. This was the reward Soren had chosen: a Legendary Tier 2 piece of equipment, a very famous Legendary Equipment.

Item type: Boots of Speed [+2]

Item Tier: [Tier 2 Legendary Item]

Item Description: These are a pair of boots with a Legendary story. They appear in many tales, as they are the prized equipment of many Legendary Professional. In fact, there were many pairs of these Legendary boots, but their numbers are dwindling. Nevertheless, they remain a coveted item for many professions, whether in battle or at the cost of escape.

Equipment requirements: None.

Equipment effect: Constant [Haste].

Equipment Effect - [Haste]: This equipment is imbued with the Haste. Anyone wearing it will automatically receive the Haste Spell buff, greatly increasing their movement speed and providing a small additional attack speed. This Spell effect cannot be dispelled by Dispel Magic unless someone destroys the equipment, such as with Disintegrate, Mordenkainen's Disjunction, or Mordenkainen's Disjunction, etc.

Legendary equipment.

A Legendary Equipment item that isn't particularly high-level, but is quite useful.

Permanent [Haste]!

Known as the 'Speed Boots' by Adventurer, it is a rare and highly sought-after piece of equipment, and an essential item for top-tier Rogue.

The Eye of the North seemed a little tired. After handing the equipment to Soren, she waved for them to leave. As Soren and Goria bowed slightly and departed, she glanced at Soren before her, then smiled at Goria and said, "He's quite good!"

Then.

The Eye of the North closed its eyes, seemingly wanting to be alone for a while.
