Background

Bai Fenghua is Bai Yuanhua's daughter and initially appears publicly as the young master of Wuhua Gate. Though born into a major martial arts sect, she disliked martial arts and instead pursued immortal cultivation after discovering she possessed the aptitude for it. Only a small number of people, including her father, knew her true identity and cultivation path. 60 67 85

When Bai Yuanhua was seriously injured, Bai Fenghua traveled to the Southern Ridge to find a Crow-Headed Snake's demon core for medicine. Having heard of Tang Jie's reputation as the Bull Demon King, she sought him out and hired him for 500 spirit stones to join the expedition. 60 61

During the Black Rock Mountain Range hunt, Daoist Feng Mo and Liu Xuanqing betrayed the party and abducted her for her resources. Bai Fenghua revealed her Qi Refining cultivation and fought with wind blades from her folding fan, but Liu Xuanqing wounded her. Tang Jie pursued the two cultivators, killed them, treated Bai Fenghua's injuries, and discovered that she was a woman. 63 64 66 67

After the expedition, Bai Fenghua brought Tang Jie to Wuhua Gate, where she enthusiastically welcomed him to Peerless City. Her concern for her father motivates her earliest actions in the story, including organizing the dangerous Black Rock Mountain Range hunt and seeking Tang Jie's help.
