Lin Heng left Swallow Cloud City with Mu Liuxi and returned to Green Pavilion Sect, where Meng Yutong revealed his family history and warned him about the sect’s troubles. As the Inter-Sect Grand Competition approached, Lin Heng and Yun Yao hid their relationship while Mu Liuxi prepared to make hers with Lin Heng public.

• Mu Liuxi dragged Lin Heng back to Mu Manor, then agreed to let him visit the Zhao Family so he could continue working on pill sales.
• Mu Liuxi investigated the Demon Beast near Ji Family Village and was trapped by two men and the Soul Abyss Venom Python, but Jiang Caiyan and Lin Heng intervened and Lin Heng killed the beast.

After uncovering a poisoning plot and defeating Xiao Xuan with his time divine ability, Lin Heng treated Duan Shuyun while Xiao Xinhe vowed to stop them from leaving.

• Duan Shuyun and Lin Heng faced a combined Phenomenon Heavenly Tribulation, and Lin Heng survived the Thunder Abyss Baleful Beast’s attacks to form a Golden Core while Mad Qiao Daoist fled.
• Lin Heng persuaded Duan Shuyun to travel with him to Medicine King Valley, and they followed a lead to Chen Bingyi and his wife, who guided them to its hidden entrance.
