History
Original life
Fuxi is Nuwa's elder brother and Shen Hongfei's maternal uncle. Following Nuwa's relationship with the fallen Ancestral Dragon, he becomes hostile toward both the Dragon Clan and her unborn child, repeatedly demanding that Shen Hongfei be aborted. His fear of the Ancestral Dragon is rooted in having been beaten by him in the past. 1 3 8
He dismisses Shen Hongfei's predictions concerning Hongjun's Zixiao Palace sermon, the six Golden Futons, and the identities of the destined Saints. At Zixiao Palace, he briefly occupies a Golden Futon but is forced off it by Zhen Yuanzi; when Zhunti and Jieyin arrive as predicted, he loses his wager with Shen Hongfei. The humiliation cracks his Dao heart and stalls his cultivation progress. 2 4 6
Fuxi later develops a strong desire for spiritual treasures and influence. He takes Zhunti's Five Elements Pearl without permission, receives the Yimu Pearl from Nuwa, and eagerly accepts Di Jun's invitation to become the Demon Clan's Xi Emperor, with standing equal to Di Jun and Eastern Emperor Taiyi. 20 24
Break with Nuwa
As Nuwa's power rises, Fuxi's relationship with her deteriorates. He is barred from Fengqi Mountain after pursuing the second strand of Primordial Violet Qi, which Nuwa has already given away. 90 91
During the Demon Clan's conflict with Fengqi Mountain, Fuxi challenges Nuwa on the Demon Clan's behalf in hopes of earning merit and preserving his rank. Houtu intercepts him, destroys the formation created by his Fuxi Mirror, and overwhelms him in close combat until he begs for mercy. 73 74
Di Jun subsequently exploits Fuxi's family connection by ordering him to feign reconciliation with Nuwa and obtain the Monster-Recruiting Banner. Though Fuxi returns with the banner, Di Jun distrusts him, binds him, and eventually keeps him under house arrest in the Heavenly Court. 78 92 95 105
Death and reincarnation
After Di Jun and Eastern Emperor Taiyi die, the new Demon Clan leader Ying Zhao summons the imprisoned Fuxi. Fuxi expects release, but Ying Zhao kills him to establish his authority, disregarding the danger of provoking Saint Nuwa. 178
Nuwa ensures that Fuxi's soul enters the Human Dao. The Reincarnation Compass destroys his former memories, karma, cultivation, and identity; he is reborn as a human infant named Fuxi. Suiren Shi recognizes his extraordinary origin and accepts him as a disciple, while Nuwa considers the karmic bond with her former elder brother resolved. 180 181
Human Emperor
The reincarnated Fuxi becomes a radically different person: a loyal Human Race leader with exceptional cultivation talent, military accomplishments, and broad popular support. He devises the Innate Eight Trigrams Formation to defend Suiren City, then leads Human Race cultivators in a counterattack against invading demons. 194
Suiren Shi abdicates in Fuxi's favor and transfers the Kongtong Seal to him, formally making him the second Human Emperor. Under Fuxi's leadership, the Human Race expands rapidly through repeated campaigns, forcing neighboring powers either to flee or submit. 195
After Shennong Shi cures the Human Race plague, Fuxi recognizes his immense merit and accepts him as a personal disciple, teaching him immortal cultivation. He later yields the Human Emperor position to Shennong and joins Suiren Shi in seclusion at Huoyun Cave. 199 202 203
Personality
Before his death, Fuxi is ambitious, prideful, and deeply resentful of being overshadowed by Nuwa and Shen Hongfei. His desire for status drives him to join the Demon Clan, pursue Saintly opportunities and Primordial Violet Qi, and ultimately act against his own sister. He can also be opportunistic, as shown by his seizure of Zhunti's Five Elements Pearl. 20 24 73 90
His reincarnation has no memory or karma from that life, producing a markedly different temperament. Human Emperor Fuxi is portrayed as courageous, devoted to the Human Race, and willing to fight personally for his people; he treats Shen Hongfei with respect rather than claiming familial seniority. 194 197 195
Abilities & Skills

Combat
- Wields a massive Innate Spiritual Treasure axe during the defense of Suiren City, cutting through demon forces in the counterattack. 194

- His original body is notably ineffective in direct combat against Houtu, who breaks his formation and severely injures him despite not using her full strength. 73 74
Leadership and Teaching
- Commands the Human Race through campaigns that expand its territory and compel neighboring forces to submit. 195
- Recognizes Shennong Shi's potential through his vast merit cloud and personally instructs him in immortal cultivation. 199
