Nuwa is naturally gentle and initially avoids unnecessary karmic entanglements, but her priorities change immediately when Shen Hongfei or those under her protection are involved. She chooses to pursue the Gourd Vine only because her unborn son wishes to see it, and she later accepts responsibility for the Sanxiao fairies despite her hesitation. 10 14
