Excavation
When Saine awoke from his coma, the excruciating pain all over his body caused him to groan.
A hoarse and faint voice echoed within this vast, funnel-shaped Sand Valley.
This was unusual terrain that Saine had never seen before; it seemed that a massive sandstorm had brought him here.
Furthermore, there is another space in the center of this Sand Valley.
There, too, came a series of rustling sounds.
Even though nothing was visible yet, the rustling sound sent chills down one's spine.
After regaining consciousness of his body, Saine quickly checked his condition.
The fine scars from his face to his arms and legs need no further mention.
These wounds were Saine by the Wind Blade and sand carried by the sandstorm.
There are two particularly noticeable major injuries.
One wound was a laceration on Saine's abdomen. Although the bleeding had mostly stopped by some point, the excruciating pain and the seeping blood still caused beads of sweat to appear on Saine's forehead whenever Saine tried to move.
This wound is one that he needs to treat as soon as possible.
Another major injury was Saine's dislocated left arm.
With only his right arm still able to move with difficulty, Saine is currently experiencing the greatest predicament and the most severe injury he has ever faced in his life.
Struggling to his feet, Saine reflected on how he had survived. →
Even Quasi-Magician would have a slim chance of survival if caught in a sandstorm of that magnitude.
Saine managed to survive, but he didn't believe it was all just luck.
"Besides the Earth Elemental Shield provided by this ring, it should be the effect of that black light."
"What exactly is that?"
Saine glanced at the Magic Ring, which had no energy left, then remembered something and immediately pried open his left hand, which was temporarily numb.
Sure enough, Saine's left hand was tightly gripping Lina's Black Crystal Stone Bracelet.
Previously, Saine only knew that this Black Crystal Stone Bracelet had a remarkable Dark Magic amplification effect and seemed to contain an offensive spell.
But unexpectedly, at the critical moment, this bracelet could still provide protection.
"As expected of the treasure left to Lina by a first-level Formal Black Wizard, this bracelet surpasses the Strong Acid Scepter that my mentor gave me in terms of functionality and value."
"Saine sighed."
After his initial shock, Saine immediately began to save himself.
Since he is still alive, Saine naturally has to find a way to treat his injuries, and even return to the Underdark in the future.
With only his right hand still functional, he first took out two Intermediate Recovery Potion from his Space Ring.
One vial was forced down Saine's throat, while the other was carefully applied to the areas around his wounds. →
A slight numbness, or even a slightly stimulating pain, caused Saine to occasionally hiss in pain.
But upon experiencing this pain, Saine was not disappointed; instead, he was delighted.
Having a good understanding of anatomy and human structure, he knew that being able to feel pain was a good thing for him.
If you can't even feel pain... that really means he's about to die, or that he needs to have his leg amputated.
After resting for about half a day, and drinking a Vitality Potion and a long-treasured Nutrient Potion, Saine, who had regained his strength and energy, began to treat his dislocated left arm.
"I hope what Master Ke Suo Long said to me in the anatomy class was true. Come to think of it, I've only ever handled specimens of dead bodies, never worked on a living one," Saine thought to himself, taking a deep breath and gripping his left arm with his right hand.
"Crack!" A crisp sound of bones twisting rang out.
Pale-faced and drenched in cold sweat, Saine forced a smile, unsure whether to be happy that he had successfully reattached his left arm or to regret that his technique wasn't quite up to par.
After treating his injuries, Saine began to observe his surroundings.
In fact, when he first woke up, he roughly judged that there should be no danger nearby.
Only deep within the valley might hold some mystery; the rustling sound that emanates from it sends chills down one's spine.
"That sandstorm couldn't have only swept me here. There were at least thirty or forty Black Wizard Apprentice who hadn't yet escaped from the Space Channel at the time, not even counting the corpses of those Black Wizard Apprentice who had already fallen," Saine thought to himself, looking down.
Saine had little interest in finding survivors; under those circumstances, the Black Wizard Apprentice were in good condition and highly skilled had already escaped the Yellow Sand World.
As for the remaining apprentices who were either seriously injured or had low strength, Saine did not think they had any chance of survival.
Furthermore, Saine had no liking for those apprentices who had not yet escaped the Yellow Sand World.
The reason he separated from Lina and whose future was uncertain was largely due to the madness of these Black Wizard Apprentice and their mutual encroachment.
On the other side of the passage, the battle between two Level-3 Peak three Mage was an unpredictable and irresistible factor that Saine could not foresee.
Saine wanted to complain about the dean, but did he have the right to?
At least not now.
At this moment, Saine is searching for other apprentices because he has not given up hope of escaping the Yellow Sand World.
Don't forget, Saine still has a black grip that his mentor Moxidu gave him.
Whether he can escape this Yellow Sand World, Saine's last hope rests on this thing.
However, to activate the Black Grip, Saine would need at least enough Element Pearl.
He had already given all of his Element Pearl to Lina at the last moment.
The only option now is to see if we can collect enough Element Pearl from the corpses of other Black Wizard Apprentice.
If not... looking back at the surrounding yellow sand, this will be the place where Saine spends the rest of his life, and where he will be buried.
Saine was lucky.
Or perhaps it's because Saine has had too much bad luck since arriving in the Yellow Sand World, and now it's time for his luck to change.
The first apprentice's body he discovered belonged to a Quasi-Magician.
The other person's name was Ke Luo Bo, Saine remembered him.
It was because this guy hysterically attacked other apprentices indiscriminately in front of the Space Channel that Saine, who was holding Lina at the time, was forced to take a detour.
Even the Element Missile that Saine later took from who-knows-where might have been his doing.
At this moment, Ke Luo Bo was no longer as unrestrained and crazy as he had been when he was indiscriminately attacking other apprentices outside the Space Channel.
It was just an ordinary corpse.
It is still incomplete.
In his wide-open eye sockets, his eyeballs were completely replaced by yellow sand.
His body was almost completely buried under the yellow sand, with only half of his head showing.
Saine had handled many corpses and specimens, so the fact that Ke Luo Bo had already died had no effect on him.
To conserve Magic Power, Saine didn't use magic, but instead used his Strong Acid Scepter to dig on the spot.
It's unclear how long Saine had been unconscious, but the Strong Acid Scepter had already fully charged.
Saine hadn't had a chance to examine Lina's Black Crystal Stone Bracelet in detail yet.
Saine is currently mainly using his own equipment.
