Cloud Island

The clouds overhead drew closer and closer, like a white curtain constantly descending.

Linsey quickly laid down stone blocks where he stood.

Every so often, he took a break to recover the source essence spent modifying the blocks.

After half an hour of work,

he had steadily closed the distance between himself and the sky above. At last, standing atop the straight earthen pillar beneath his feet, he plunged headfirst into the cloud in the air.

"..."

Linsey looked around. Everything in his field of vision was blank white.

The light was scattered by water droplets or ice crystals within the cloud.

He felt as though he had entered a deep mountain forest early in the morning, only to be swallowed by thick fog, leaving his vision completely useless.

At the same time, the cloud layer brought a drop in temperature.

The droplets rapidly soaked his skin and clothes, drawing heat away from his body.

Linsey wiped his face, brushing away a layer of cloud water.

With his current physique, he naturally did not need to worry about falling ill. What Linsey considered was how to reach the other side.

The next second, he opened the Adventure Map.

The Sky Compass marker was only a few dozen meters ahead. If Linsey put some strength into it, he could leap across in a single jump.

"Just... jump?"

Linsey raised his gaze and narrowed his eyes.

The cloud layer did not merely block his vision completely; it also obscured the clue's white light. He could not see what lay on the other side.

"A hidden space concealed within the clouds."

"Even if a flying Awakened happened to pass by, they might not necessarily crash into this place, much less happen upon the Hidden Space inside, right?"

Linsey remarked with a sigh.
