Abel's face under the hood was extremely grim. The Lightning Faction, which he had always considered his most reliable support, could not be reached through the teleportation array. He had no idea what had gone wrong!
He came to the counter in the Wizard Guild's hall. The receptionist was a young Wizard Apprentice whose cultivation was only at the Level 4 Apprentice Wizard stage.
"Hello. How may I help you?" Although Abel had not revealed that he was a wizard, the Apprentice Wizard still asked politely.
"I need some information about the Lightning Faction. Do you know where I can get it?" Abel asked as he tossed a low-level Magic Stone onto the counter.
The Apprentice Wizard's eyes lit up when he saw the sudden appearance of the low-level Magic Stone. He reached out and grabbed it, certain that the person before him was at least a Formal Wizard. After all, without a spatial bag, it was impossible to make a low-level Magic Stone appear out of nowhere.
"Wizard sir, the Lightning Faction recently recalled all its wizards stationed outside. I heard that an elder within the organization is about to advance. For safety reasons, they have sealed off the Land of Thunderfall!" To Abel's surprise, this Level 4 Apprentice Wizard knew about the Lightning Faction's situation.
"Then do you know when the Land of Thunderfall will be reopened?" Abel asked again.
"That's hard to say. I heard from wizards who came here on business that the Lightning Faction elder's advancement could take anywhere from several months to several years. No one can give an accurate answer!" the Apprentice Wizard continued.
"Thank you." Abel tossed another low-level Magic Stone onto the counter.
Just then, the teleportation array on one side of the hall suddenly flashed with white light several times.
