Creatures with strength equal to that of Rule Wizards were not merely rare—the possibility of contracting one was almost nonexistent.
As for cultivating a Contracted item oneself and allowing it to evolve into an existence equal to a Rule Wizard, the resources required would be many times greater than those needed to raise a wizard into a Rule Wizard, while the possibility of success was likewise extremely low.
Thus, for a Rule Wizard, obtaining a Contracted item capable of assisting them was extraordinarily difficult.
Yet Abel's Behemoth and Rule Wizard Frankenstein were both somewhat stronger than Abel himself.
Of course, that was Rule Wizard Hal's assessment. The Dragon Druid's strength was explosive and could not be sustained for long. He did not know that Abel was also a Rule Wizard—a dual-element Rule Wizard of the Lightning and Ice Elements.
"Master Bennett, the Magic Stone Vein is just ahead!" Rule Wizard Hal stopped and pointed toward a cave.
"Rule Wizard Hal, isn't there a teleportation array that leads directly into the mine?" Abel asked as he looked at the distance between the battle fortress and the mine.
Abel looked at a clearing among the many trees on the mountain. There was an excavated opening in the clearing, roughly five miles from the battle fortress. If there were a short-distance teleportation array inside the mine, it would make things much more convenient.
"This place is frequently attacked by Evil Knights, and teleportation arrays are easily damaged. Come with me and you'll understand!" Rule Wizard Hal said, then cast Teleportation and arrived at the mine entrance.
Abel left Doff and "Grizzly" at the entrance, while Frankenstein brought him along and followed at Rule Wizard Hal's side.
Sounds of excavation echoed through the mine. Then Abel saw puppet after puppet busily mining Magic Stones.
