Background

Lin Hai was an ordinary reincarnator in his previous life. After dying from exhaustion, he was reborn on the Douluo Continent to two low-talented Soul Masters in Spirit City. His parents were killed by soul beasts while hunting spirit rings when he was three, leaving him an orphan shortly after recovering his memories of his former life. 1

Fearing that he had inherited his parents' mediocre martial-soul aptitude, Lin Hai entered the Spirit City Orphanage on his own initiative.
