Early Travels and the Dugu Family

After leaving Spirit City, Lin Hai discovered Xiao Wu’s identity as a hundred-thousand-year Soft Bone Rabbit. He taught her aura concealment and cultivation techniques, gave her a storage spirit tool, and sent her toward Nuoding Academy with a warning about anyone surnamed Tang 21.

He subsequently located Ah Yin’s hidden body near Sacred Soul Village and brought her into the environment sustained by the Bodhi Ancient Tree 23 90.

At the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, he used the Bu Yuan Cauldron to produce medicine that removed Dugu Bo’s accumulated toxins and relieved his martial soul backlash. The treatment also strengthened the Dugu family’s martial souls, and Lin Hai developed a romantic relationship with Dugu Yan 29 34 35.

Four Years in the Star Dou Great Forest

Lin Hai spent four years treating Gu Yuena near the Lake of Life. Once the Fierce Beasts confirmed that his healing worked, they supplied spirit bones and organized blood donations from powerful soul beasts, giving him extensive materials for pill refinement 46.

During this period, he reached Level 70. He later spent three months in Bodhi-assisted enlightenment, adapting a God-level Life Technique for Gu Yuena, developing two sword techniques, and beginning to understand the Law of Time 47 49.

Gu Yuena recovered sufficiently to leave the Lake of Life and gave him her reverse scale. Lin Hai then accepted Xiong Jun’s challenge before departing the forest at sixteen 50 51.

Shrek Academy and Political Alliances

Lin Hai received his formal Holy Son robes and token after leaving the forest. He later joined Shrek Academy, paying Flender ten thousand Gold Soul Coins for accommodation and improved meals 52 55.

At Shrek, he reunited with Xiao Wu, developed ties with the students and teachers, and quietly placed an Origin Seal on Tang San. His confrontation with Yu Xiaogang exposed the terrifying effectiveness of his illusion abilities 64 79.

In Heaven Dou, Lin Hai used his strength, pills, and relationships to expand Spirit Hall’s network. His negotiations brought the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect into allegiance, while his connections with the Ye family and Skywater Academy offered further avenues of cooperation 106 107 114 142.

Return to Spirit City and Later Activities

Returning to Spirit City, Lin Hai reunited with Hu Liena and gave her the Illusionary Thought Bell as her promised personal treasure. Its presence substantially disrupted the balance of the academy tournament 184 190 202.

He later refined Elixir Pills for Spirit Hall and allied groups, devoured Bibi Dong’s Divine Slaughter’s Domain, and reached Rank 82. After beginning a romantic relationship with Bibi Dong, he entrusted her with the Bu Yuan Cauldron and returned to help Qian Renxue secure Heaven Dou following Xue Ye’s death 217 219 222 227.

Lin Hai also took Ah Yin to Blue Silver Forest to recover her memories and disclosed her past connection to Tang Hao and Tang San. He later recruited Bai Chenxiang for training on Sea God Island and helped evolve her martial soul during their voyage 231 233 235 250 252.

By his later discussions with Gu Yuena, his ambitions extended to the Divine Realm. He promised that soul beasts would receive equal rights if he ruled it; Gu Yuena regarded his potential to become the Creation God as a reason to strengthen his ties to her race 271.

Lin Hai combines a playful, roguish manner with deliberate planning. As a child, he used stories, social finesse, and games from his previous life to establish friendships and improve his prospects. His habit of winning hair-cutting wagers against Yan exemplifies his teasing competitiveness 1.

His original priority was survival and control over his own destiny. Attachment to Bibi Dong and Hu Liena gradually gave him a firm allegiance, and he resolved to prevent the exploitation and tragic deaths he remembered from the original storyline 42.

He is openly flirtatious and frequently manipulative in romance. His handling of Ah Yin is particularly complicated: he initially concealed her former marriage and child, then came to recognize that her lost memories were essential to her identity and sought to restore them 91 233 235.

Although capable of ruthless violence, Lin Hai does not treat every political opponent as a personal enemy. He gives Dai Mubai freedom to choose his future and views killing Dai Weisi as a last resort rather than a preferred shortcut 189 217. Threats involving women he considers his own, however, can provoke extreme possessiveness and dangerous rage 157 158.
