The Alliance and the Horde had taken up their grand island adventure: PVP here, PVP there, then PVPPPPPPPP or PPPPPPPPVP. They fought with boundless enthusiasm.
What? Mining Azerite? What Azerite? Ah, there was no time for that. Honor kills were what mattered most!
Of course, the Horde's internal political situation remained fraught with undercurrents. Both sides maintained a superficial peace. Warchief Garrosh continued building the pure, glorious, Orc-supremacist Horde of his dreams, and naturally, his Horde dream had the support of the Orcs.
Still, the same old story: on the surface, the Horde was prosperous and harmonious. In fact, it was a little too harmonious—the number of non-Orc races in Orgrimmar was rapidly declining.
However, the neighboring Night Empire had never neglected intelligence on its only neighboring nation, especially after Garrosh's ruling team came to power. The Night Elves had remained wary and watchful of them ever since.
There was no helping it. Compared to Thrall, Garrosh was so hawkish that he was deeply worrying. The elves did not want their borders to catch fire, so they spread spies everywhere, or investigated the Horde's political situation through the Tauren.
And the information that came back, along with the overall assessment, was entirely discouraging.
The most obvious sign was that the atmosphere within the Horde had become increasingly delicate. Though they tried their best to mediate, minor racial disputes had already broken out several times throughout Orgrimmar. And there was no question which side the Kor'kron chieftain's guard sent to mediate favored.
As for the Warlocks of Shadow Valley, Garrosh disliked them even more, directly treating them as fallen victims of Fel corruption. He simply had not moved against them yet.
The Stormreaver clan that had joined the Horde naturally hated Garrosh to the point of grinding their teeth.
