"Hey!" Roger responded instinctively, but then he suddenly remembered who that voice belonged to. His body immediately stiffened as he looked behind him in disbelief.
Milim bared her teeth in a wide grin and waved her arms excitedly.
"You've got the wrong person! I've got something urgent to do, so I'm leaving first." Roger instantly sped up, turning into an afterimage and vanishing in a flash.
"Captain, wait for us!" The rest of the Roger Pirates hurried after Roger.
As a cloud of dust rose, not a single member of the Roger Pirates could be seen anywhere on the street.
"Mm, they actually ran that fast." Milim pouted in dissatisfaction, but when she saw the rabbit in her hands, her face filled with smiles again.
She could hardly wait to introduce her pet to Lingling.
After running all the way to the harbor, Roger turned back in terror. Only after seeing that Milim had not followed did he slowly let out a breath of relief.
"Captain, why were you running so fast?" Rayleigh asked in confusion between gasps.
"If I didn't run fast, was I supposed to play Bullet Hell Game with that little brat Milim?" Roger snapped irritably.
"Hahaha!" Gaban pulled out a Den Den Mushi from his clothes, a thoroughly lecherous grin on his face. "It's fine, Captain. We already took pictures of you making a fool of yourself that day!"
"When the time comes, we can send the photos to Sengoku. Maybe since you two are sworn brothers, he'll go easy on us."
"Gaban, you really know how to have fun, hahaha." The surrounding crew members continued laughing at their captain.
"Hmph! Sooner or later, I'll kick you bastards off my ship!" Roger did not care about his crew's mockery. Instead, he pulled out a flyer.
It read: Many Countries Barbecue Grand Opening, First Big Eater Challenge. The winner would receive ten free meals at the barbecue restaurant.
"Boys, want to give it a try?" Roger said with a grin, waving the flyer in his hand.
"Forget it, Roger. We just finished breakfast. At least wait until noon," Rayleigh teased with a sip of wine.
"Then we'll go eat at noon. The next game event is an aerial dance party."
In Lingling's office, Lingling looked at the mountain of documents and let out a long sigh. Still, she silently picked them up one by one, carefully reading and reviewing them.
Not long after!
With a loud bang, the door to Lingling's office was kicked open. Unsurprisingly, Milim skipped inside.
"Lingling, look at my new pet, Tank!" Milim placed the rabbit on the desk and solemnly introduced her newly raised pet to Lingling.
Lingling looked up and saw a little rabbit lying on the desk.
"Tank? This little rabbit?" A huge question mark seemed to appear over Lingling's head.

"Don't let her small size fool you. Once I find Vegapunk, even little rabbits can become big rabbits." Milim said proudly.
"Oh!" Lingling immediately perked up. "Did your Observation Haki see some future again?"
There were many kinds of Observation Haki in this world, each with its own unique abilities. The Red Earl's Observation Haki could read minds, while some people with exceptionally powerful Observation Haki could briefly foresee the future.
Milim had described her Observation Haki as something that occasionally let her see fragments of the future. That made it easier for her to mention things she should not have known yet.
"That's right, Lingling. I saw an incredible inventor, a scientist who would even be called someone five hundred years ahead of the current era in the future."
Lingling lowered her head in thought for a few seconds before saying, "If what you say is true, then we absolutely must recruit this scientist named Vegapunk."
"That's right, that's right." Milim nodded in wholehearted agreement.
"Milim, you know where Vegapunk is right now, don't you?" Lingling asked carefully. With Milim's unreliable personality, she might only know Vegapunk's name and not his current whereabouts.
"Mm, do you think I'm an idiot?" Milim unhappily pummeled Lingling's stomach with her little fists. "How could I come to you without even knowing the location?"
"Mamamama! Then that's great." Lingling paid no attention to Milim's attacks and said in a good mood, "Then I'll have to leave this mission to you and El again."
Milim was somewhat stunned. "Lingling, you're not going?"
"Many Countries still needs someone to guard it. If anything really happens, I can hold things together until you return." Lingling paused before saying it anyway.
Milim became a little anxious. "But ever since Many Countries was founded, you haven't gone out even once. You stay cooped up in the office all day handling official business."
"You used to love going out to have fun."
"Ah!" Reminiscence flickered in Lingling's eyes, but they soon became firm again. "I did love going out to have fun before, but now, aside from Milim, nothing is more important than Many Countries."
"After all, this is our shared dream—to build a country where everyone can eat their fill."
"But you don't have to push yourself so hard! Taking a break now and then and balancing work with rest would be good too." Milim's mind was spinning so fast that she had even come up with balancing work and rest.
Seeing Milim's worried expression, Lingling's heart warmed. She hurriedly comforted her, "I know. I'm only busy right now. Once Many Countries has more people in the future, I'll be able to relax."
"If you like being busy, then stay busy. Being busy is good. Everyone should be busy." Milim walked out of the office in dejection.
Lingling looked at the pitiful little rabbit Milim had forgotten on the desk and sighed at Milim's habit of leaving things behind.
She then picked up the rabbit and held it in her arms, stroking its fur as she continued handling official business.
Meanwhile, Milim headed toward El's office. When she opened the door and found no one inside, she knew El had to be at the construction site.
Spreading her Dragon Wings, Milim flew into the skies above Spring Island. With a sweep of her Dragon Eyes, she found El's location. Not long after, Milim arrived at his side.
She then told El about what she and Lingling had discussed. After hearing the whole matter, El did not hesitate at all and immediately arranged a ship.
He then found the location of Mechanical Island, "Baldimore," on the map. His efficiency was absurdly high—by the time Milim had finished a bottle of juice, everything was ready. All that remained was to board the ship and depart.
