The Demonic Path is not a single sect or unified school. It is a broad designation for sects, inheritances, rogue cultivators, and social networks associated with demonic arts or conduct condemned by the mainstream martial world 20 781.

The Heavenly Demon Palace is regarded as the Demonic Path's primordial lineage and the seat of the lord of all demons 728 2145. Its inheritance is linked to the Primal Heavenly Demon, and its Heavenly Demon Token contains demonic origin that can restrain and suppress other demonic cultivators 2541 2614.

Its prestige does not equal absolute control. The Demonic Path is deeply factional, and even the Heavenly Demon Palace Lord is acknowledged to lack the ability to completely command or “digest” all demonic forces 1493.

The Demonic Path is said to have existed since the world's earliest eras. Its oldest tradition traces its origin to the demons among the ancient Gods and Devils, who became the ancestors of later demonic lineages 1466.

During the medieval era, demonic sects flourished alongside righteous factions. The Heavenly Demon Palace, Three Paths, Five Evil Sects, and other inheritances all left their mark on successive dynasties 20. The Human Path caused major upheaval during the Imperial Song Dynasty, while the Hell Path was active as an organization during the Great Xia Dynasty 20 728.

After Great Yong's founding, Great Ancestor Beitang Gong formed the Mount Tai Alliance and initiated a large-scale extermination campaign against demonic forces. The famous sects were believed destroyed or crippled, while the righteous path became the martial world's mainstream 20 715 782.

The surviving demonic forces responded by fragmenting, concealing themselves within the jianghu, and cultivating covert connections rather than openly spreading terror. Their visible presence weakened, but their ability to infiltrate local society and accumulate strength increased 90.

After more than a century of recovery, the Demonic Path's vitality was considered restored. Renewed warfare and disorder across the realm gave it further room to expand and recruit 782 1882 2540.

Demonic Nature is the instinctive, malevolent current within a person's heart, mind, and spirit. It amplifies desires such as greed, ambition, bloodlust, and the urge to dominate 1573 1574.

Cultivators who embrace it seek unity between desire and action: if they crave blood, slaughter, power, or revenge, they fulfill that impulse rather than restrain it. This can produce extremely rapid progress, but risks turning the cultivator into a pawn of the demonic influence that empowered them 1661 1675.

Society and Influence
