Qin Shuang first appears as a disciple of Thieves' Gate attempting to clear her sect's name. She tells Shen Bai that the sect did not steal the Heavenly Oversight Bureau's Bizarre Item; a Fox Girl did, while a traitor had implicated Thieves' Gate. Her investigation leads her to the Grand Tomb in Ascending Cloud County and the Upper Evil Gate's scheme surrounding it. Unable to face the danger alone, she agrees to cooperate with Shen Bai and divide any tomb treasures equally. 44 45
