Another one in a hurry to pick up her child.
The urgency in Destiny's eyes was completely undisguised. Every god present could see that she simply wanted to go and protect her believer, who had been left behind in the void.
Although Truth's experiment had bypassed the prison zone she had set up, that measure had ultimately been meant to restrict the gods. Once the gods were drawn into the Gods' Covenant Assembly by Order, who knew whether the void there was still safe?
The other gods clearly did not care about this. Only Birth and Destiny remained worried.
Seeing this, Deception laughed mockingly. After hesitating for a moment, Order unexpectedly asked a question unrelated to the assembly.
"Is the truth Truth seeks really outside this space-time?"
Destiny answered decisively, "I don't know."
Those words made Deception look at Memory with an unreadable smile, while Memory silently lowered her eyes.
After Truth's self-destruction, no god knew that Destiny had sealed the memories away with her.
Destiny's response was not over. She continued:
"All I know is that what has been predetermined has not yet been severed. So even if the Universe truly contains Truth, it can only exist within this space-time that I can see.
Truth took the wrong path. She went astray.
"As for the other space-times you all imagine, hmph, they're nothing but a world-deceiving lie jointly spread by Deception and Time.
"I once thought that existence, even if opposed to Nothingness, was at least no different when it came to drawing close to her devotion.
"But now it seems I was terribly wrong.
"Existence truly should not exist."
As she spoke, Destiny gave Memory a cold, piercing look before leaving the assembly outright.
A world-deceiving lie jointly spread by Deception and Time?
Why did that sound so
