The world was still being reconstructed, and Truth's experiment continued.
But this was actually unreasonable.
To Destiny, Truth's experiment was undoubtedly the greatest variable affecting the established order. Since Destiny had broken away from the Gods' Covenant Assembly, logically speaking, they should have stopped the experiment and dragged the trajectory of the universe back onto the proper path.
But they had not.
It was not that they had failed to try, but that they had failed!
An unexpected force had blocked their destruction, ensuring that Truth's experiment proceeded in an orderly fashion.
This force naturally did not belong to Truth. It could only be said to have been a contingency Truth had left behind. In the end, Truth was dead. No matter how grand or meticulous the experiment they had arranged was, it could never withstand the methods of a true god.
The only thing that could stop a true god was another true god.
Destiny looked at those familiar eyes before them and said, their anger seething:
"Looks like civilization is determined to set foot on the wrong path and part ways with Destiny!?"
War. Yes, it was War. Those eyes of blood and flame stared straight at Destiny, no longer showing the forbearance and meekness of the past. They were filled with battle intent and arrogance.
Flames roared in War's left eye, while blood erupted from their right. Blood and fire coiled before that beam of Truth's light, enclosing the core of the experiment like an impregnable wall.
War was not facing Destiny alone. After the Gods' Covenant Assembly ended, the gods had basically all gathered around. They looked at the War who was different from before yet resembled the War of the past with astonishment. None of them had ever imagined that the one who ultimately protected
