Lu Ban looked at the roast chicken in front of him, its aroma wafting everywhere.
The roast chicken had crisp, browned skin that glistened with oil. Just looking at it was enough to make one's mouth water.
Lu Ban tore off a drumstick and sniffed it. It was exactly like the real thing.
When he put it in his mouth, the juices burst forth. The meat was tender, salty, fragrant, and delicious.
Although this was not a real chicken leg, Lu Ban still ate it.
"Looks pretty good."
Bao Bao tore off another drumstick and began feasting, eating with great satisfaction.
Lu Ban wiped his fingers with a napkin from the table, then continued writing on the half-transparent, illusory pages in his hand with a bone-textured fountain pen.
A knock suddenly sounded at the door. The visitors were Amber and Xiya.
The instant he finished writing, Lu Ban heard a series of knocks.
Bao Bao looked over, somewhat confused.
"Who could it be at a time like this?"
She hopped over to the door and opened it.
Looking over her shoulder, Lu Ban saw Amber and Xiya standing at the entrance, both looking bewildered.
"Where is this?"
Amber did not understand what was happening. She warily scanned her surroundings until she saw Lu Ban, at which point she suddenly relaxed.
"Lu Ban."
Amber pattered inside and threw her arms around Lu Ban.
"How did you do this?"
Xiya had no idea what was happening. Just a moment ago, she had still been at sea, surrounded by deafening noise. The ocean had been boiling, the earth trembling, and everything had seemed on the verge of destruction.
Yet in the blink of an eye, she had arrived in a corridor and even seen Lu Ban.
