The Special Power of Reduction into Emptiness and the Return of the Throne of Good and Evil!
Locke tried several methods of detection in his makeshift laboratory. Strangely, even after using many of the Tidal Grand Wizard Tower's Water Magic methods for tracing a water source, he could not find where the water had come from. When he turned his back on the wet patches, then suddenly looked around again, there were more of them.
The water in the laboratory had already risen over his feet.
Locke's expression changed slightly. "Could this be a curse?"
"The water seems ordinary enough."
Locke turned away once more. When he looked back at his makeshift laboratory, the water had reached his knees.
"This water—"
Suddenly, torrential rain began falling inside the makeshift laboratory, pelting his head.
Locke raised a hand to shield his eyes, but he did not panic. Hassan, a master of Curse Magic, was right here in the camp. If this truly was a curse aimed at him, Hassan might have a way to deal with it.
A figure appeared abruptly amid the downpour. The person had waist-length hair and wore a dark-blue wizard's robe that flowed like a dress. Locke asked, "Who are you?"
The figure made no attempt to answer. Instead, she crouched on the ground as though weeping.
"Are you Rose Witch?" Locke asked.
"Answer me!"
Locke's gaze turned cold. He snapped his fingers, and three Mountain-Dragon Naked Ferns crawled out behind him like giant pythons of the forest, sheltering him from the wind and rain.
"What are you trying to tell me? Is this a warning, or are you planning something?"
As soon as Locke summoned the Mountain-Dragon Naked Ferns, the water around his feet began to recede rapidly. The weeping witch, still facing away from him, seemed to have been startled. She did not move, yet her figure was swiftly growing more distant.
