A day later, in the Black-and-White World, Locke looked at the unfinished wizard robe before him. He waved his hand, and the robe woven from mycelium burned to ash.
"I've spent all twenty million magic stones, but the robe as a whole is still only a rough prototype. I need much, much more funding."
"If I want to make good use of the Black-and-White World, I'll need more money."
"Should I take out a loan?"
Locke thought that was one option, but he could also look into funds offered by Golden Crown Mountain and Cloud Marsh Wetland.
Come to think of it, he had yet to apply for his first second-ring fund.
Looking at the mycelium culture dishes around him, Locke made up his mind. He had to secure more funding as soon as possible and complete his research on the wizard robe.
He had to make the most of every moment in the Black-and-White World.
Locke left the Black-and-White World and summoned Wizard Lix of the Mario Brothers. "Lix, deliver this pair of The King's New Shoes: Air Pineapple to Kunguding Academy. This is my submission for Kundin's bulk procurement program. If they're interested, they can place a large-scale order for this wizard-shoe plant of mine."
"Remember, no matter who tries to get their hands on these shoes along the way, you must do everything you can to stop them. Deliver them directly to the person in charge of the project at Kunguding Academy."
Wizard Lix promptly bowed to Locke. "Understood, team leader."
"I'll make sure these shoes reach Kunguding Academy's testing staff. I'll do my best to secure a business partnership with them."
Locke nodded and hurried away. Returning to his office, he summoned Wizard Gordon and asked him to help write an application for a second-ring fund
