Ten Void Battleships descended over Kalimra Frontier Town and circled toward the town's airship dock. These ten specially made versions for the Cloud Marsh Cup were shaped like metallic crescents, flying through the sky like semicircular wheel-shaped moons.
But a massive mech suddenly descended from the sky and landed on the surface of the Void Battleship where Locke was. Using two rows of dense rollers on its feet, it slid across the ship while wielding a fully automatic autocannon suited to its hundred-meter-tall frame, rapidly attacking the Void Battleship where Locke was.
However, when the bullets landed on the Kinetic Nullification Shield covering the Void Battleship's surface, they all lost their effect, as if fists had struck cotton. Once those kinetic weapons touched the Kinetic Nullification Shield, they immediately suffered infinitely great energy loss, causing their inertia to cease at once. They could only fall feebly to the ground.
Even so, one mech after another landed on the surface of the Void Battleship. They slid along while dodging the Shaping School laser light-energy magic fired at them from the golems' eyes.
Locke saw one mech get struck by a golem's light-energy magic. The mech should have had half its body destroyed by the First-Ring Magic [Light-Energy Impact], yet it was completely unharmed. The electronic camera eyes in its head flickered constantly, releasing the cold malice unique to mechanical bodies.
Inside the Void Battleship, the other Breeders had not noticed anything unusual, but Locke was stunned. "Hmm? A Permanent Defense Field?"
Montgomery looked at Locke in confusion. "Boss, what Permanent Defense Field?"
Locke pointed at the mechs outside the Void Battleship. They were treating the ship's surface as an ice rink, sliding rapidly while firing the autocannons in their hands.
