Wizard Morrison said with a smile, "Locke, what have you noticed?"

Locke hesitated, but ultimately said, "Director Morrison, I feel that your spell is exceptionally stable—extraordinarily stable. The vastness of your mana gives me the illusion that I'm not facing an individual life-form, but some natural phenomenon."

Eberhard Morrison paused, then looked at Locke with a hint of seriousness before breaking into a carefree smile. "As expected of the champion, your senses are remarkably sharp. Your feeling is correct. I imagine you've sensed the nature of my Great Magic."

Director Morrison spread open his right hand. A green moon appeared in his palm. His magic had actually manifested physically in this world instead of appearing as a Spell Model.

This made Locke realize that the defining trait of a Second-Ring Wizard—or rather, the defining trait of a First-Ring Wizard—was the Permanent Defense Field, while the defining trait of a Second-Ring Wizard was Great Magic.

And the Great Magic of a Second-Ring Wizard seemed to be different from ordinary magic.
