In the judges' seats, the Sun-Ring Wizard and Third-Ring Wizard judges could not help but remember a battle that had ended so fiercely.

Franklin, chairman of the Major League, stifled a laugh. "I checked. That kid's Wizard's Shoe has already entered the top ten on Arthas's total sales chart for the Sports Festival. Sales are in the tens of millions now. He'll make at least several million Magic Stones. What a little marketing genius. As long as he isn't eliminated, he'll keep drawing attention."

"I'm liking him more and more."

Franklin smiled. "He's better at running things than some of our traders."

"Some wizards who've just joined the Major League are so rigid."

Roosevelt nodded. "I didn't expect him to beat Preston either. But if her bloodline hadn't turned on her at the end, she might not have lost. That girl really does follow the rules too closely."

"It never even occurred to her to deal with her bloodline's side effects."

Roosevelt turned to Witch Catherine. "Is that magic plant with Abyssal properties recent Throne research?"

"No," Catherine said. "I've never seen it before."

Roosevelt nodded. "It was rather crude."

"But if it was his own idea, that's another matter. The boy has real potential. He may go further than an ordinary Second-Ring Wizard. He's one of Golden Crown Mountain's most promising young wizards."

"Preston's stats were actually higher than Locke Augustine's across the board," Roosevelt said. "Her overall abilities were stronger too. But... becoming a Second-Ring Wizard by surpassing the Soul Limit isn't about being well-rounded."

"She seems to have missed the point. Has no one told her?"

Witch Catherine sighed. "Her parents were both my students. They simply dote on their daughter too much. They can't bear to let Preston suffer the slightest hardship."

"I can't interfere, either."
