Locke pressed the token against the stone door. A crack appeared in what had looked like a solid slab of rock, and the door swung open.
Douglas craned his neck, eager to see what lay beyond.

"Put this on before we go in. Traveling between worlds is dangerous. We have no idea what's on the other side."
Douglas nodded and hurriedly put on the five pieces Locke had given him: magic gloves, a wizard's robe, a wizard's hat, a wizard's mask, and wizard's shoes. His Magic Pressure had not risen at all, yet his overall magical power had climbed a notch.
Together, the five pieces made him more efficient at converting the same Magic Pressure into magical power.
