Shade completed the Lost Forest journey, helping Clara reunite with Lakes before returning to the present and preparing for the trip to Another Island. In Green Lake, Shade and Megan recovered a bottle containing the Relic Reward of Greed, and the demon Zatanah appeared to offer wishes.

• Shade learned from Durut Giles how Lust Edwardz had protected his expedition and obtained a crystal key, then arranged help for Giles’s curse and warned him to stop robbing tombs.
• Shade joined the travelers in the Lost Forest, where the group survived the Soul Reaper’s terror, a blizzard, and an avalanche before Chloe reunited with him.
• Shade and the travelers found Clara’s sister trapped in a statue, and Chloe used Myriad Aspects of Impermanence to bring Lakes back in a shared body with Clara.
• Shade completed the journey, received Enhanced Space Perception and Dragon knowledge, then returned to the present and prepared to investigate Another Island with Megan.
• Shade retrieved a Fifth Epoch relic from its ice seal, traced believers of the God of Love to the Rosicrucian Order, and attended a Yodel Palace banquet where he warned Durut Giles to stay out of trouble.
• Shade and Megan found the Ring of Emotions beneath the Gaiman manor and learned from Gaiman Earl’s records that he had made a dangerous wish and secretly left the estate by boat.
• Shade, Megan, and the Follen brothers searched Green Lake and retrieved a bottle inscribed “I grant all wishes,” releasing Zatanah, who offered three wishes and challenged Shade’s confidence.

Shade returned to Central Island with Megan and uncovered the Edwards family’s connection to its unstable space and the Maze Demon Yaru. After fighting the Invisible Man during the eclipse, Shade was shot by the Ancestor, and Desire revealed a way for him to confront the crisis and prove his feelings.

• Shade learned that the Edwards family ritual had created a Spatial Anomaly and rescued Megan from the island with help from the Edwardz brothers.
• Sister Devlin examined Lust Edwardz’s soul and traced her origins to the blood-red door and the ancient evil known as the Door in a Bottle.
• Shade learned Linked Hearts from Richard, Kelly Hope, and Upton, then saw Desire in Upton’s painting and borrowed the God of Love’s holy emblem.
• Shade used the emblem to summon Desire from Green Lake, agreed to kiss Megan and Audrey during the eclipse, and learned more about their shared soul.
• Shade and Megan visited Rudy McMahon’s portrait, discovered that Green Ridge Ore had enhanced the Edwards descendants’ spatial talents, and entered the island’s dream together.
• Shade and Megan fought through the fog and Yaru’s labyrinth, escaped the island, and refused the Mirror Society’s offer to cooperate.
• Shade fought Er Harken and thousands of Invisible Men above Central Island, then fell into the lake after the Ancestor shot him.
• Desire slowed Shade’s descent, explained Soul Fusion, and challenged him to prove his loyalty to Love as he turned toward the depths.

Shade helped stop Laplace Klein Howard at Green Lake, then explored Black Mist Camp and uncovered dangerous relics. At Galina’s banquet, she revealed Shade as her lover to Audrey and Megan, and explained how many Witches supported him.

• Shade and the sisters used golden arrows to halt the fog, then Shade absorbed the Moon’s divinity and defeated Howard with the Moonlight Wheel as a Mermaid shadow passed beneath the lake.
• Shade helped Audrey and Megan stabilize their shared soul, showed Audrey the Space Labyrinth, and promised to reveal his identity to Megan.
• Using a Time Key, Shade joined Liya Higgins, Sarah Miles, and An DeEr Ade in Black Mist Camp, where they traded for dangerous relics and Mrs. Miles sought her lost beloved.
• Shade used the Remembrance Conch to contact people across time, while Miss Higgins bought the conch and a broken sword before they escaped the camp.
• Grandma Natalie identified the broken sword, and Old John identified the black coin as the Power of Existence, and Shade then learned that the conch could contact or summon a dead person.
• Shade and Audrey attended Galina’s banquet, where Galina manipulated their conversation before revealing Shade as her lover and exposing his concealed identity to Audrey and Megan.
• Shade revealed Audrey’s spirit form, and Galina explained that six Witches supported Shade while Speaker remained outside their support.

Shade investigated the Edwards family’s missing remains and uncovered signs that Laplace Klein Howard was preparing a large-scale ritual. In Green Lake, he encountered Corpse Ghouls, lost Mole, and learned that one of the ghouls was Megan’s father, Alphons Edwards.

• Shade and Audrey killed the attackers at Rose Manor, while Megan learned of Shade’s secret connection to Galina and brought him to her room with Audrey.
• Shade joined Luvia and Iluna in investigating the Space Chosen One, and they traced the ritual’s clues to the Edwardz family and the Twins God.
• Shade found Nicholas Green’s empty grave, tracked him down as a Corpse Ghoul, and learned that the Ancestor had ordered him to steal family corpses for a ritual.
• Shade returned from the Past World after fighting Mrs. Lemmer and witnessing memories of the disasters that had reshaped its history.
• Shade traveled to Green Lake, where he followed Earl Petrarch through a spatial rift and uncovered a conspiracy targeting Duke Galina and Duke Simier.
• Shade investigated the Edwards graves with Miss Sylvia and found evidence that several family members had vanished, possibly to serve as Howard’s assistants.
• Shade fought three Corpse Ghouls at a burning farmstead and collapsed their Mystic Lock, but two escaped.
• Shade found the dying agent Mole, who revealed where he had hidden his intelligence before refusing treatment and dying, and Megan later recognized one of the escaped ghouls as her father, Alphons Edwards.
