Shade investigated the dragon beast, the Bennett Family, and the Wish Demon while Doctor Schneider completed his Demon Hunter transformation. In the Time Corridor, Shade and his companions finished Strange Tree Academy’s ritual, and the goddess offered answers in exchange for Shade writing an elf-related story.

• Shade learned that the dragon beast’s wishes had been shaped by Destiny, borrowed Priest Augustus’s Angel's Right Arm, and prepared to investigate the beast’s nest and the Watcher.
• Shade summoned the Wish Demon with four witches, then traded four moments of Gluttony sin for information about Vesta Woodland’s Ancient One.
• Sivie’s team found the dragon beast’s grave, and Bella Belinder and Luvia planned to destroy its bones to draw the beast out while Flora recovered from a curse.
• Doctor Schneider completed the Demon Hunter ritual and accepted the Demon Hunters’ Destiny, while Shade learned that the Wish Demon Zatanah was heading toward Vesta City under the Paradox Worms’ control.
• Shade awakened Zatanah with Soul Whiplash during the battle in Vesta Woodland, and the Demon bowed to him before flying away.
• Shade questioned the Wish Demon about Bennett and the hidden tree, then heard Xiao En Asmon recount the youth’s journey and won Asmon’s Rhodes Card wager.
• Shade entered the Time Corridor with Iluna, Emilia, and the others, helped complete Strange Tree Academy’s ritual, and gained Enlightenment as his Thaumaturgy Cherished Item was sublimated.
• Shade asked the goddess to help Emilia reach the correct time, and the goddess offered answers if Shade wrote an elf-related story on World Tree Bark.

Shade completed the Academy’s final lesson, returned to the Material World, and helped his allies defeat the dragon beast by carrying it to the Underworld Moon, where Kindel reclaimed its wisdom. As temporal incidents spread, Shade investigated the Bennett family and prepared for the Watcher while his group postponed the hunt until they could control the Paradox Worms.

• Shade failed the final lesson of Temperance but received the last eight-ring Spirit Rune, then helped Los Metz recover her memories and choose whether to leave the Academy.
• The deity sent Shade and the cat away from the collapsing Strange Tree Academy, while Emilia arrived at Saint Byron's and Shibel Beast preserved memories of their journey on World Tree bark.
• Shade returned with Iluna and learned that Emilia was in the past, then organized preparations against the Watcher and investigated the Dragon beast’s nest.
• Shade and Margaret found Ashley Bethany’s ghost and corpse, and Ashley agreed to leave with Margaret while searching for her twin brother.
• Shade and his allies fought the Dragon beast, but the Clockmaker repeatedly restored it and divided the battlefield from normal spacetime.
• Shade, Iluna, Flora, and their allies dragged the Dragon beast through the Wall of Sighs to the Underworld Moon, where Kindel reunited with it and departed after regaining its wisdom.
• The Clockmaker escaped after defeating Yuri Aston, while Shade gained Dragon Breath and Flight Spell from Kindel’s gifted heart and Flora’s Time Curse weakened.
• Shade’s group prepared to draw out the Watcher, discovered that Albert Bennett was Ashley’s brother, and postponed the Paradox Worm hunt until they could control the danger.

Shade met Adele in the past, uncovered a hidden time-travel station, and confronted a deadly Rift in White Ape Canyon. Emilia returned from her travels, while Shade won access to an earlier journey and remained uncertain how to handle his feelings for Adele and Isabella.

• Doctor Schneider told Shade about the Founding card and an Invitation Letter, and Shade entered the past to find Adele trapped by a Curse-Eroded Great Tree.
• Shade escaped the tree with Adele, learned that she could summon him again, and later found the tree’s transformation spreading through Vesta Woodland.
• Shade obtained an Invitation Letter from Berkeley after arranging a reunion with Jenny Cree, and attended the secret gathering at the Time Transfer Station.
• Shade learned of the station’s contracts and Anthony Winslet’s time loop, then studied the Tree Hole Spell with Emilia.
• Shade and the others discovered a growing Rift to Doomsday in White Ape Canyon, where Shade used Calamity Cards and the Tear Drop of Parting to contain it.
• Shade and his allies battled the monster that emerged from the Rift, and Blaine Olanode defeated it with an Arrow of Night.
• Emilia returned as an Eighth Ring Arcanist and used her Thirteenth Ring form with Shade to temporarily shrink the Rift.
• Shade won a Rhodes Cards match against the Masked Man, claimed Firearm Double-Barreled Shotgun, Stars 2, and reunited with Emilia while still unsure how to approach Adele and Isabella.

Shade investigated Anthony Winslet’s disappearance and learned how the Bennett Family and the Curse-Eroded Great Tree were tied to the Paradox Worms. After returning from 1821, he joined the fight against the Mad Moon, where Helena Carter reunited with her former student and helped unleash a powerful lunar attack.

• Shade and Miss Olanord investigated the Hunting Lady’s Temple, uncovered a hunter’s murder and bargain with the Tree, and learned that Anthony Winslet’s disappearance might involve a Paradox Worm.
• Shade traveled to 1821 with the Masked Man’s help and found Anthony alive among the Time Curse Users hanging from the Curse-Eroded Great Tree.
• Helena Carter revealed her Destiny to become a Curse-Eroded Great Tree and arranged for the tree to preserve Anthony until Shade could return in 1854.
• Helena identified Thomas Bennett as the Masked Man in Shade’s era and warned Shade to fight him outside the Time Transfer Station before sending Shade back with her ritual notes and hair.
• A Blood Moon appeared over Vesta Woodland, and Miss Olanord and Miss Danist joined forces to attack it as Shade flew to their aid.
• The Mad Moon swallowed their Two-Colored Moon and struck Shade down, but Helena Carter caught him and reunited with her former student, Danist.
• Shade shielded Blaine Olanode, Danist, and Helena as they combined their lunar powers and unleashed Saint Byron’s Divine Art, Moon Goddess’s Forgiveness, which began closing the Time Rift before the Flesh Moon forced its way into their spacetime.
