Shade blinked after reading the note and muttered:

"What kind of fancy nonsense is this?"

He then gripped the silver cube.

"So I have to collect stories to open it and obtain this so-called gift? The invisible Abandoned Church on Cherry Leaf Street."

The cube, not yet warmed by Shade's palm, immediately began to heat up. His sensitive palm detected raised and indented markings appearing on one face of the cube. When he opened his hand and looked, he indeed saw densely packed letters on one of its six faces.

"Wouldn't it have been easier to just leave me a note?"

The letters were tiny. Even when Shade brought his eyes close, it was difficult to make out a complete sentence. Fortunately, there was still "her." After Shade rubbed the metal block with his fingertip, "she" recited the words written on it:

Forgotten Church—

Between numbers 11 and 12 on Cherry Leaf Street lies an Abandoned Church that cannot be observed under normal circumstances. This church belonged to the Old God "Forgotten Old Man." After the god departed in the Fifth Epoch, mortal believers struggled to maintain the church, until it eventually fell completely into ruin. Observing the church is simple: press together the middle and index fingers of either hand, as well as the ring and little fingers. Shade thought to himself, then tried his best to recall the Old God "Forgotten Old Man." But no matter how hard he thought, he seemed never to have heard that god's name through any channel.
