Luvia raised an eyebrow and looked at Shade. Shade nodded.
"The one you're thinking of."
Last week, Stone Osenfott had arranged to meet Shade in front of the burning warehouse, asking him to find three lost items—a ring, a medal, and an earring—in exchange for the whereabouts of Founding. Although Shade had later told Luvia about it, he had not asked for her help and had even forbidden her from getting involved.
Stone Osenfott gave Shade a very strange feeling. It was difficult to describe, but he still trusted his sixth sense and therefore did not want anyone around him to have any contact with Stone Osenfott.
Although the Myriad Aspects of Impermanence Cards were valuable, Stone Osenfott had not produced the card. Shade was collecting thirteen cards at the Innocent Creator's request, but he would not let those cards affect him.
"The Old Stone Mason said he found it inside a stone. That's really strange. Why would a medal be inside a stone?"
Luvia was puzzled.
"It's like that ring I picked up from the bottom of a river in the outskirts. Normally, the ring shouldn't have been at the bottom of a river either."
He put away the medal.
"I don't plan to return it to Stone Osenfott immediately. As for that man, I plan to investigate him through other means on Saturday. Luvia, you—"
"Don't have any contact with him."
The Girl with Purple Eyes complained softly.
"Do you think I'm the sort of person with excessive curiosity? Don't worry, I won't deliberately step into danger."
The two walked out of the warehouse, and Luvia asked again.
"I thought there would be some danger tonight, but it went so smoothly. By the way, you're going home later, right?"
