Although Shade did not know whether carrying that card had helped her confront the darkness within her heart, she had realized that such cards possessed utterly extraordinary power.
The witch with short brown hair looked at Shade and asked cautiously:
"I know you've always wanted this card, but I have a feeling that if I use it here, it will no longer belong to me."
That meant the card might be consumed here.
Shade shook his head indifferently. The Myriad Aspects of Impermanence Cards followed Destiny's choices—or perhaps they themselves meddled with Destiny. So although he wanted it badly, he did not insist on having it. If it was meant to belong to him, it would appear sooner or later:
"It's all right. I came here mainly to experience the full Seven-Day Trip story. It's time to end this journey. Go ahead."
Thus, Myriad Aspects of Impermanence was placed beside the five identity cards. As the card faintly began to glow, everyone heard the humanoid figure made of dust let out a long sigh:
"A Two-in-One space, broken relationships, and newly born blood ties. So that's how it is. You chose such a fate for yourself and them, so welcome it willingly. I hope that in the long and distant years ahead, you will not regret your choice."
All the dust composing its body fell to the ground. At the same time, an inexplicable gale suddenly blew in from the depths of the lost forest. The wind was so fierce that even Shade and Chloe had to raise their arms and turn sideways to shield themselves.
