Leaving Priest Augustus with Doctor Schneider, Shade returned home at dusk, worried. To his surprise, both Dorothy and Luvia were there. Shade told them about Priest Augustus's condition, and both Miss Writer and the Diviner with Purple Eyes were worried as well.
Luvia even suggested performing a divination for Priest Augustus, but the Tarot Card she casually drew was the one representing "light."
The meaning of that card was "a future full of hope." For a divination, it counted as one of the best possible results. Luvia therefore told Shade not to worry. If the priest really encountered any other problems, they would all help.
Luvia actually did not leave that evening and instead joined Shade and Dorothy's lesson.
Over every Saturday night of the past month, although either Dorothy or Leisha had appeared at Shade's home, they had not actually done much studying during their Saturday lessons. There had been more entertainment than learning.
Now that they had rested for a month, both Miss Writer and Her Royal Highness the Princess intended to begin a fresh round of study. They believed that they were really the ones choosing Mystic Locks for Shade, since they began each lesson and Shade would then acquire a Fairy Tale Mizzle two or three months later.
"So, what are we studying this time?"
Luvia, who was sitting beside the desk as an observer, asked with great interest. The gas lamp in the study illuminated the faces of the two young ladies, and the warm domestic atmosphere made Shade even more grateful that Detective Sparrow had left this house for him.
"My Low-Ring and Mid-Ring Words of Sublimation are 'Match Girl' and 'Cinderella.' Leisha's Low-Ring Words of Sublimation are 'Sleeping Princess.' Shade has already studied all three stories, so this time it is Leisha's Mid-Ring
