"Priest, whether I'm a child is actually hard to say."
Shade answered with a smile. Priest Augustus ignored the remark and instead looked at what Shade was holding. The frown on his aged face made his wrinkles appear even deeper.
"Where did you find this?"
As he spoke, he reached for the bone, only for Shade to stop him.
"Wait, Priest. You can't have this until your 'vacation' is over."
"I only want to see what condition it is in now. You don't need to be nervous."
Only after saying that did the priest touch the bone. There were no dramatic flashes of light or sound afterward, and Shade explained what had just happened.
"You also saw the nun in Miburg. She said her seal wasn't very stable, so I wanted to ask you for help. Otherwise, I shouldn't have come to disturb your vacation."
"That nun is far too modest. This seal is excellent, but..."
Priest Augustus examined it carefully. He showed no fear of the glimmer on the bone.
"If you want absolute certainty, you should still give it to me. This is the most active bone I have ever encountered. I don't know how it achieved this, or whether it is related to the Abnormal Light on it, but aside from me, you will scarcely find another method that is one hundred percent safe."
"Scarcely?"
Shade raised an eyebrow, and the priest nodded, speaking honestly.
"You could send it into True Death. The power there would certainly suppress any restless death. But the problem is that we do not know whether this layer of light will affect death itself. I can sense that although this light is not strong at the moment, its source is quite formidable."
He did not ask Shade to make a decision immediately.
