After a restful night came tuesday. Early that morning, Shade appeared at Margaret Manor.
Because he had arrived rather early, Margaret was still having breakfast with Miss Sylvia, so she invited Shade and Little Mia to eat another meal with them.
Margaret seemed especially fond of sweets. The dessert was even more delicious than the main course. After hearing Shade speak of Carmen Eddington, she nodded in agreement:
"The Invitation Letter will be easy enough to arrange. So, you'll be attending Friday's banquet too, won't you?"
"Of course."
Shade stroked Little Mia.
"I have a feeling that this will probably be the last grand banquet we can attend before the Moon Bay Incident ends. I hope we'll have a good time."
"Judging by the current weather, even though it's summer, the banquet probably won't be able to open its outdoor area."
Miss Sylvia looked out the window.
"Have Bella and Luvia said when this fog will finally disperse?"
She was treating the two female diviners as weather forecasters, though predicting the weather truly was one of a Prophet's specialties.
"They said this fog did not merely drift out from the Edge of Life and Death; it also contains other components that have yet to be analyzed."
Margaret immediately sighed.
"In just the past few days, both Moon Bay City Third Psychiatric Hospital and Moon Bay Flower Sanatorium have filled up. It is as though the entire city is full of madmen. Without this fog, things would be even worse. The whole city would probably already be in chaos. Fortunately, the light is noticeably weakened after being filtered through the dense fog. The resulting skin disease can slowly heal just by applying medicine mixed with Holy Water No. 4."
"All right, all right. I didn't come here early in the morning
