Time was a very interesting thing. Even when the hands of the clock turned through the same number of cycles, Angelina sometimes felt that time passed quickly, and sometimes felt that it passed slowly.
Examples of time passing slowly were easy enough to find. As for time passing quickly, aside from immersing oneself in the ocean of books, this summer's Moon Bay holiday had been much the same.
Ever since learning that she would be leaving Moon Bay this Saturday, it was as though a countdown had been constantly ticking before her eyes.
Emilia's departure on Thursday had suddenly accelerated that countdown, and when Fiona transformed into a Red Dragon on Friday and carried Miss Feliana straight to Tobesk, Angelina felt her chest tighten with nervousness as the countdown neared its end.
The Radiance Messenger was currently anchored offshore near Moon Bay Port. Standing on the deck of the enormous cruise ship, she watched the Red Dragon and Silver Dragon fly east together, consoling herself in her heart:
"At least there's still one day left. At least I can see Moon Bay's sunset one more time."
Then, as though in the very next instant, it was Saturday morning, and she was already at Moon Bay train station.
There were truly quite a few people returning to Tobesk together this time. Countess Belinder, who had voluntarily taken on the expenses, had directly booked the first four carriages of the Moon Bay–Tobesk Special Train.
By the time Angelina came back to her senses, Dorothy had already taken her hand and led her into her small private compartment. Though she did not have an entire carriage to herself, she did not care much about the journey ahead.
"Well, now I really am leaving Moon Bay and heading back to Tobesk."
Angelina sighed dryly.
