When Shade and Miss Olanord returned to the Radiance Messenger, the first news they received was that Sister Devlin had arrived.
"Go greet her quickly."
The Moon Witch gently gave Shade a push, her expression as tender as ever.
"I know what it feels like to wait, so hurry."
"Mm, the nun and I aren't that kind of relationship."
"Really?"
When she smiled, her eyes truly curved like crescent moons.
"Don't explain that to me. Those are matters for the witches of this point in time to consider."
The investigation had taken up the entire afternoon, and evening was now approaching. Not only Shade and Miss Olanord, but the other young ladies who had gone out were gradually returning as well. Under normal circumstances, no one ventured through the woodland at night.
Sister Devlin, whom they had not seen for a long time, seemed to be planning to stay directly aboard the ship, so the Illustrious Miss had arranged a room for her. When Maid led Shade to see the nun, Megan was standing in the room, eagerly discussing the matter of the "Fire Seal" with her.
Sister Devlin was the first to hear the familiar footsteps in the corridor. Thus, when Shade turned into the doorway, he looked up to see the nun in her gray-black robe facing the door.
Her hands were clasped before her chest, hanging low. Though her head was slightly lowered, that silver blindfold still seemed to be "looking" at Shade. Even with Megan chattering nonstop beside her and the maids busily tidying the room, nothing could diminish her tranquil, cool aura.
But a reunion with the nun was not suited to an embrace.
"Sister Devlin, you're here?"
"Forgive me for arriving late, Hero of the Flame. Once again, I shall become the sharp blade
