To avoid damaging the house, Shade conducted his attempt at combining spells in Room Three on the third floor at home—the "extra room" on the third floor. Luvia, Galina, Sivie, and Daniste were all present in case something went wrong during his thaumaturgy experiment.
But the combination of spell and thaumaturgy worked remarkably well. There was no dragon roar, only a glowing bubble radiating brilliant silver light that Shade breathed out.
Both Ellie and Little Mia watched it with interest. Shade raised a hand, letting the bubble settle into his palm as he sensed the power contained within it.
"Sivie, you really came up with an incredible idea."
The bubble contained the complete power of "Dragon Breath · Moonlight." Once it burst, it would be equivalent to directly releasing an omnidirectional Dragon Breath at the point where the bubble shattered. Naturally, the dragon roar would also sound.
He sent the silver bubble flying toward the young ladies so they could feel its power as well. Luvia was very curious.
"This combination of thaumaturgies is extremely simple. If Miss Gina Rosa knew about it, why didn't she tell you?"
Gina was a Pureblood Gem Dragon. It was impossible for her not to know Dragon Breath, so Shade recalled his impression of the Pink Dragon Maid.
"I don't think she forgot. More likely, Gina probably doesn't use Dragon Breath very often."
Though this composite thaumaturgy did not increase the power of Dragon Breath, its delayed activation and controllability gave Dragon Breath far broader possibilities. The seemingly useless Bubble Spell had therefore gained much greater value.
After Shade's thaumaturgy experiment ended, he and Daniste went to the Academy together. The thaumaturgy that theoretically required a nighttime ritual for learning was no longer a problem once Daniste summoned the Red Moon in the dark
